"Pardews Heart Beats Black and White" just a thought?
-
Use a fucking dictionary before you embarrass the more sensible supporters simply by association.
-
Thats exactly the scenario that is going to be created. The protest (although I would accept is designed as peaceful) will be overtaken by the badly written bedsheet brigade.
-
On record? I've suggested I have misgivings in his appointment (Pardews ability) but in fact he's done fuck all to be crucified for. I did say at least let him earn the right to be crucified. And if he did take us down I'm firmly in the camp of thinking thats exactly where we were going under Hughton.
-
So, does asking for Pardew to be given a fair chance equate to being an Ashley arselicker?
-
I did put forward the name of Pardew in October. Thats why I knew Hughton was on the platform with the trapdoor creaking. The name was given to a friend of mine who's reasonably close to an NUFC player. Make no mistake about it - the squad will have known all about this for a while.
-
60 points though. Ouch. (For those who've gave up please ignore.)
-
With all the negativity with regards to Pardews arrival I can see SJP being a threadbare place to be next season when folk with the courage of their convictions get the opportunity to make the ultimate protest. Those without the commitment of a season ticket for this season can get a headstart. Who's got a ticket for Liverpool and isn't now going? Is it not possible to seperate the departure... from the arrival?

Will The Players Take Us Down Like Last Time?

The fact is we have bottling bastards in our squad already. I'll be interested to see how the new man handles them. -

The last one would have. -
Some have form.

I think the length of the contract is quite meaningless really as it will not cost Ashley much to break it, once bitten etc.. what it might be supposed to represent is a new era of stability.. look, a 5.5 yr contract, time for long-term thinking. I'd be amazed if there's not a severence clause installed. Not a chance he'll be here 5+ years.
-
Has it happened?
-
Your and my principles mean fuck all mate. Those with principles will have the courage of their convictions and not go back.
-
What exactly is dumb? All I've said in reality is lets see how it works out before folk slaughter him.
-
I'd have much preferred it to be someone else.
-
I haven't said anything other than lets not crucify him until he's earned the right to be crucified. He might be a complete disaster from day 1 or h might just be average or indeed it might in time be viewed as a masterstroke by Ashley. I personally think he'll be a disaster - but let him at least have his chance now he's apparently got the job. Is that not plain old common sense?
-
And we weren't under Hughton? How can you welcome Pardew with such pleasure yet have such hate for Hughton? I'd hardly say I'm welcoming him with any pleasure at all. I'm as worried as the next person about his ability to do the job. My bigger concern though is the players are the ones who'll keep us up or take us down and they wont give a fuck either way.
-
And we weren't under Hughton?

It wasn't Pardews fault Hughton got sacked (as far as I know) so explain the vitriol. Seems that contract talks with Pardew started as early as October. http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,67026.msg2574212.html#msg2574212

He just has to play the devils advocate, i'd be dissapointed otherwise. 1 - Do you think he deserves this shit before (in fact) he's been appointed? 2 - If he does turn out to be shite you think I wouldn't say it as I saw it?

Bizarro world, twilight zone &c. Nothing as bizarre as slaughtering the bloke before he's even earned the right to be slaughtered. And yes, I like most have grave reservations but - give him a fucking chance.
-
Enough of this negativity. At least give him time to earn the negativity. May I wish Mr Pardew all the luck in the world and hope the squad - if not the supporters - get right behind him from day 1 as most of these gutless fuckers have took us down before and will think nothing of doing it again.
