If Krul is dropped v Spurs then he has only himself to blame. That mistake was absolutely shocking. He's made a rod for his own back. His general footwork needs major improvement. I can see Harper getting the nod.

To answer a few posts above. 1, He has done a deal that stops him from maybe saying what he - or rather YOU would want him to say about the regime. I hope he got himself a healthy payoff if so. He might though just remain on the payroll and not want to say too much in case they sack him for speaking out of turn. Who knows? 2, Has he EVER said anything remotely interesting? I wrack my brain! Fair enough he wants to thank supporters I can fully understand that but was that worthy of SKY sending a team to film it? I bet SKY were hoping for shitloads more. The SKY interview actually told us - well, nothing we didn't really know already did it. At what stage should it be done? Both Barton and Enrique now into the final 18 months of 5 year contracts. Should contract negotiations have been started with 2 years remaining on their contracts? Not just these two but more of a general question when the quality of the player suggests they are worth keeping. With both Barton and Enrique the ball is now moving further and further into their favour. If it gets to 12 months you even lose the value of the player because he can then sit it out or be sold for a derisory amount. They could both leave this summer if they reject their offers for no more than a million or three between them. S Taylor will go for nowt or no more than peanuts when two years ago you would think realistically north of £4/5m. Bad business to let it get less than 24 months without negotiations beginning.

In the last 20 years they have been relegated 4 times, all from the top league, in 1991, 1997, 2003 & 2006. In my 25 year NUFC supporting lifetime I have witnessed them be relegated a further 2 times to add to those 4, in 1985 when they were relegated from the old 1st divison and then, the funniest of them all, the 1987 relegation to the old 3rd division. I was at the game V Gillingham at Joker Park which relegated them to the 3rd, along with another 2000 mags in the clock stand paddock. It's still a very, very sore wound for them to live with even to this very day. I was at the Gillingham game as well. Tremendous game with the perfect end. Couldn't get in the clock stand so went in the Roker End. I actually stood in the same spot for the no away fans game years later.

It was never a season ending injury. You or I would resume normal life after 6/8 weeks with the same break. It was just a break and luckily no ligement or dislocations involved.

One of the main reasons I started trying to run my own coaches. Got pissed off with Barret although he did a brilliant job there was just zero organisation. I reckon we run a decent enough away trip and try to organise it right. EVen try to offer a ticket and travel option whenever possible. Also trains for London game at a reasonable price.

So, has everyone calmed down? Are folk prepared to give Pardew a chance? The initial shock of Hughtons departure I could understand leaving folk confused and maybe even annoyed but Pardew has been nothing but contrite since he arrived. And although I'm still not certain he's the man he's dealt with a tricky situation quite admirably. Liverpool win would have made his life a shitload easier admittedly Lets hope its more of the same at Birmingham with a decent result.
