i asked this before and someone replied- they will hold the appeal befoer the derby It will be lodged on Monday. Refs report will go in on Monday then FA will ask ref to have a look again - ref can then decide whether he wants to rescind or not. The ref might even look before and put in a recommendation to either uphold or rescind. It will certainly happen before our next game.

Yep, can't complain at all really. The manner of the Spurs defeat was rage-inducingly pitiful, but Pardew deserves stacks of credit for keeping Hughton's momentum going. He and the players are doing really, really well. I doubt Hughton would have started Best. And Lovenkrands for that matter. A team with Nolan masquerading as a striker would have been the Hughton way. Hughtons last 5 = 2 points. Team looked a shambles. Pardews first 5 = 9 points. Early days yet though so three more wins 3 more draws and we can start to play with the pressure off.

I think Krul has cost us at least 2 goals in the last 2 games. Not a ratio that could be allowed to continue. Man City's 1st should have seen him subbed. Spurs second should have been saved. Yes, he made a stunning save v Spurs but thats worth little if you then let a dolly in at a vital time in the game. His general distribution is fucking shit to put it simple. That doesn't mean Harper is much better but better he is. The ideal scenario would be a new keeper but that at this moment in time is not a priority with Carroll being goosed for fuck knows how long.
