Exactly this. Chelsea game you mentioned was a perfect example. Plenty more as well, think about some of our poor second half performances. They don’t happen if we are more comfortable in possession imo.

I might be in the minority, but I think he would be a brilliant signing. His versatility would be key as well.

I’d imagine he would be told he’s Isaks replacement as well if and when he goes.

We are poor in possession and keeping the ball when under pressure or wanting to see out a game. Pretty obvious isn’t it ?

More than anything, we struggle with retaining possession, that’s the next step for us. Don’t think Elanga helps with this.

That’s why we have scouts in fairness. We have one who has proven himself to be able to find a gem.

I’d say 4 key signings, Elanga being one of them. At the very least after that we need a CB and some quality backup for Isak. I think we can make do with Pope for another season. We also need CM but agree that will happen if Willock or Longstaff go.

Is that with a big sale or without one ?
