I get the appeal, he already lives in West London, plus no doubt a higher wage and signing on fee at a larger club. At the same time though, he's pretty much guaranteed first team football up here and Howe will have a plan for his development that a managerless Chelsea won't.

It'll be a blow if he doesn't sign given we'd have to buy another CB, but I'm sure we'll have a good transfer market regardless of the outcome. Let's see what happens.

I wonder if he does turn us down, we no longer move for a keeper. I would think the money would be needed more for a CB.

Basket case club who still came closer to winning something last season than we’ve managed in about 50 years.

I mean that’s a lie, we got to the exact same position as them the season before.

No. Trafford was a winning international keeper woodman could barely get in the nets for England u21s. And nearly every loan he wasn't t pulling up trees.

Didn’t Woodman win an international tournament with England ?

Think we lost the plot since the first window. Feels like a lot of the links are sideways and english..

Aye, that second window when we signed Isak and Botman was shit.

  5. The continuing links to buying a keeper make me more confident regarding deals for Tosin and Kelly. I don’t think we buy a keeper if either of those turn us down.

Woke up feeling really excited about this transfer window. Whilst lots of disappointment last season, none of which is worth rehashing, I do think a potential positive outcome is the glaring necessity to stretch the PSR limits, move out the nonessential, unreliable, or past peak players, and give ourselves a chance of building on the improvements made in the last 2.5 seasons.
I hope we do get some business done early, including outgoings and perhaps save an unexpected big signing until the 11th hour.

Other than free transfers, I wouldn’t expect any early business tbh. The whole PSR deadline and the euros will make most clubs do business later imo.

After Borussia Dortmund #BVB on Dean Huijsen, Newcastle also entered #NUFC .

The central defender could leave #Juventus in the summer in front of a suitable offer.

Juve is defining the arrival of Riccardo Calafiori from #Bologna where Fabio Miretti can go

    Tosin alternative?

I wouldn’t be surprised if we moved for Antonine Semenyo, he is coming off the back of his first full season in the Premier League where he scored 8 goals, he is capable of going up a few more levels too. He played well in both games against us and was probably the best player on the pitch at SJP. He is capable of playing in all of the front three positions too.

He is unlikely to cost silly money either.

Good shout, although I do think we will get a Bruno/Isak level in for RW.

Not sure, buy I think this geezer said he'd be a first team option.

Must be pretty highly rated then if that’s true. Would be nice to see him and Harrison amongst others be good enough to make the first team next season.

Dharmesh has been miles behind all the way through this one mind. Wasn't this bring reported last week?

Aye, although the reports of it being pretty much done last week also seem wide of the mark. Just reminds me how much I hate the majority of the transfer window.
