The majority of players you mention have massively underperformed this season. Yes Howe could be doing better, but so could those players.

I don’t think Howe wanted to keep Isak at all fwiw. If it was up to him he would have been gone early in the summer.

Even if I wanted him out (I don’t), I think those above would make a shit show of replacing him.

Still think it was the right call to rest Thiaw mind.

It was, but tbf, we hadn't signed anyone for two years, most of the people responsible for that success have left.

I meant more in terms of transfers, possible exists of a couple of key players coupled with the work we already need in terms of incomings. Won't be helped by the world cup either. Should be a lot more settled at boardroom level mind.

You could argue that we held on to some of them for too long imo. Or we didn't try to sell them soon enough (that we know of).

Agree with most of this, think its debatable we will get a summer of stability though.

Hated at Rangers, quite well though of at Forest.

The biggest issue wasn't the players we missed out on imo, it was going from them to the ones we ended up with. So many players in between would have been better options.

Not sure he hasn’t been able to use technical players ? We have gone for a different style, doesn’t necessarily mean he wouldn’t be able to work with more technical players.

Having calmed down a bit from earlier, I’d still definitely give him the summer and next season. Genuinely think he will transform us again in the summer, similar to the summer before we finished 4th.

Sorry, wasn’t blaming Howe here, was just a more general point about the transfer we made. Hopefully lessons learned ahead of the window.

Our best windows have come without champions league football. That was more to do with the likes of Staveley though.

This keeps getting said, and it’s a fair point. However there is a market between failing to land the likes of Pedro and Ekitike and going to Wissa and panic buying Wolt.

This i what i would disagree with, we missed out on our top targets, Pedro, Sesko, Ekiteke etc, however, there are many players in between these and the likes of Wissa and Wolt who we could have gone for. Hopefully we have scouted better for the summer.

Interesting a lot on here are now blaming the board, opposite of what was being said about them for a while. They have been poor since Ashworth left imo.

I agree there seemingly aren't any better options than Howe, but i think quite a few managers would have done a much better job this season with this group of players in the league.
