4 years down the pan is extreme, considering what we have achieved in those 4 years.
-
Whilst i would love to keep him, his sale could be exactly what we need to start changing our style of play. Get a proper DM, comfortable on the ball and i think we see a big improvement.
-
It has not been a complete disaster at all.
-
I hope they stick to it, would hate to see Olise at Liverpool.
-
Olise there number one target apparently.
-
Not sure anyone has played down his achievements, just don’t think it’s a guarantee he’s better than Howe.
-
Fourth highest win percentage in how many games though
-
Just reported today, board blaming injuries and high turnover of players on this season’s performance.
-
Personally don’t think Alonso would cross our radar, if we did lose Howe.
-
Not sure he’s an upgrade.
-
Thiaw has been desperately needing a rest for weeks, it was the right call to rotate him. Howe can’t be criticised for not rotating the squad, then be criticised when he does.
-
I can understand the concerns, but if we can’t give Howe the chance to rebuild and go again, after what he has achieved with us then I really will be gutted tbh. I was angry on Sunday, but am fully behind him getting the summer and next season. He’s the right man still to be given the chance.
-
Funny coming from Longstaff mind, he was horrendous on the ball.
-
Howe has proven before he can completely change our style of play over the summer. I think he will look to do so again this one coming, it doesn't need to be drastic either.
-
Massive sideways step if that happens
-
The Coca Cola kid ?
-
Aye, not going to lie, the most exciting part of that was us not signing Ramsdale
-
A summary from the latest Douglas article after Sunday:
-
Let’s see what he does, he’s been shit as Germany manager so far.
-
Chelsea this season tbf, Slot has also alluded to it. I do agree Howe could and should have rotated more though.
-
They did, but only after strengthening massively in the January window with loans.
-
Still more difficult than Villa’s Europa fixtures.
-
The champions league last season did impact Villa. They were around 11th/12th in January. Difference is they took advantage of the loan market, we seem reluctant to do so. That’s a different conversation though.
-
Got no issue with anyone wanting a change or thinking he may have taken us as far as he can. But some of the rewriting of history and seeming hate towards him is sad to see tbh.
