Sounds about right. Sky say £25m with £5m in add ons fwiw. Doesn't say how the £25m is structured though, so it could be £15m upfront and then £5m each season. Unless Everton sell him in January, then they get him for free. I got those figures from Everton press and fans, but yeah there is not a chance of Sunderland seeing that much upfront.

It's £18 million upfront and £12 million with add ins depending on appearances etc.

Obviously no need for a meltdown but it's a slight concern that we have seemingly already failed to sign one of Rafa's top targets.

Based on what I have read about him, I'm not 100% convinced he will turn out to be the signing we need. It seems he has a lot of potential but is very error prone, obviously I have faith in Rafa that he can and will turn out great. However the position we are in I would have been much happier with someone already proven in the league, something we haven't had at CB in years.
