  1. Jack Cork to Burnley for £10 million.
  2. Arguably the two clubs who are worse at signing players than any other.
  3. We've got no chance in this window have we. ?
  4. That might be the up front payment. I'd guess there'd be bonuses on top. Still think £8 million, even if it is an initial fee is pretty low considering the ridiculous prices for young English players. Hope it is true though, seen quite a bit of him and he is an exciting prospect.
  5. Can't see the Murphy rumour being true at the £8 million price tag mentioned.
  6. We shouldn't be thinking about who we are trying to sign at the is stage, we should be actively trying to buy them.
  7. This season is going to be a massive struggle, it's quite clear that the funds haven't been made available for Rafa to get who he wants and it seems we are already scraping the barrel looking for cheap rubbish or free transfers.
  8. I think this is a great move for him and Everton, expect him to be refreshed and be great for them.
  9. The media are often criticised and accused of not really knowing what goes on, but tbh we rarely sign anyone without them linking us first.
  10. This has got to be the most frustrating window in a long while considering what we could build having Rafa here. Not only are the targets pretty low quality, it seems is if we aren't even in the process of buying anyone, instead we just monitor or keep tabs on.
  11. Navas is awful, had like one goals and assist in about 4 years at City.
  12. It's just quoting the mirror story from a couple of days ago about us needing to manage our budget.
  13. Considering the history with Ashley, I think the angst on here is quite understandable.
  14. Not buying in to that tbh, we would have know that the payment was guaranteed to come at this time, so we could have already signed players if we were going to knowing that we would be getting the money back.
  15. Probably won't have long to wait. ?
  16. As it stands yes, seemingly not much ambition as usual, and Ashley happy to do the minimum and hope to survive.
  17. I'd personally sell the lot, buy a top keeper and have Woodman on the bench. Wonder if we could tempt Forster back? Wouldn't mention top keeper and then Forster in the same sentence, he is massively overrated. I think he's very good for where we are, he'd be a top keeper for some time if he came back. We couldn't afford Hart and Butland wouldn't sidestep (or currently drop a level) for us. Outside of the league I'm not sure of a top keeper who'd join us. Yeah I'm not saying he wouldn't be good for us, just when you said top keeper I thought you meant it as world class. He would more than do a job for us. I meant top keeper relative to our position. I'd prefer someone in the league as well after the disaster of a signing Sels was. Completely agree. ??

  19. Would be worth it, we certainly won't sign better.

  21. We spent more and seemingly had more ambition last summer, looks like Mike will be happy to just try and scrape by in the premier league again.
  22. Brentford star Jota will not play in their friendly against Aldershot tonight with a bid expected imminently from a Premier League club, Sky Sports News HQ understands. The Spaniard held a meeting with head coach Dean Smith and Bees officials on Thursday in which it was collectively agreed he should not take part in the game. Sky sources understand Huddersfield, Everton, West Ham and Newcastle have all shown interest in the 25-year-old - and he would be available for around £8m.
  23. The mirror saying Rafa wants Samaris but is having to manage funds as we haven't got a vast budget. Also Ryder saying we can't compete with Stoke for Delph. Another positive transfer round up.
  24. I think you're wrong like, we can't go into a season in the Premier with our current strike force. You can when your owned by Mike Ashley.
