Basically he is just playing a straight bat (more than he did the other day even though he is uncomfortable talking about it). He said he couldn't say if a decision had or had not been made and that is only right. If we here nothing next week I still maintain that there are issues with the takeover. Agreed With Project Restart now finalized, if there's nothing positive next week, then I really believe the takeover won't happen I’m already there, but definitely by next week if no news this is surely in major doubt. I mean, the Premier League have been trying to resolve a pretty extraordinary situation with Project Restart, so it's correct when people say our takeover wouldn't have been prioritized. Having said that, there will have been members of staff working on it throughout this whole time and if we haven't heard after (I think it's been) 8 weeks, then something just clearly isn't right For me what's been most disappointing has been the shambolic media coverage from the start, I'm unsure if other clubs have this issue to our degree, but we really struggle with getting reliable coverage about the club. We get constant reporting, but most is just duplication, or worse ridiculously contradictory I strongly feel it's taken a massive toll on fans, who are whipped into a frenzy and then doused down, over and over again 8 weeks has always been kind of the limit for me, I know project restart would have impacted it, however the only other takeover to run to 8 weeks was Southampton, and in that time they managed to fail it, go through it a second time and pass. One interesting thing is that GC has not said anything about the takeover in days True, I’m leaning towards it being because he hasn’t really got much of an idea what’s going on anymore, I think he expected it to be done by now.

Least Swanson asked him if a decision had been made. Not that he answered it like. ?

Probably haven’t even started it ?

You maybe right as nobody knows and if this was the case, then I would say that the takeover won't happen. My gut reaction (fwiw), is that if this hasn't been bottomed out by next week then in my thinking there are obviously serious problems. It would also certainly leave questions on the 'trusted reporters' and what they have been reporting. I'm still positive we will hear next week, time will tell though. I think we can already question the ‘trusted reporters’ tbh. I think most would agree that Jason Burt and Caulkin are the most well respected on here. However a week ago Burt said the checks where done and we would hear this week, then changed his tune when the guardian article was released. Caulkin has indicated a couple of times now that it was pretty much done and again nothing has happened. I think his failure to comment on the guardian report the other night was because he really hasn’t got a clue what’s going on. All in all no one other the the league knows what’s happening. I'll agree with that this time next week if that's still the case. I'm still positive something will happen though. Yeah, if there is no news next week I’m going to assume there are major issues with it.

Be even worse when they don’t announce it and we no longer have them restarting the season to blame for the delay.
-
Must be from the buyers if he is telling the truth.
-
When is the TV deal up though? Surely they won’t be allowed to negotiate anything while the current one still exists.
-
Simon Bird saying deal could be approved within days. So tomorrow it will be next week, until Tuesday when the new evidence threatens it again.
-
Which one is Simon Bird?
-
Caulkin has said from day one that the buyers are in constant dialogue with the league so someone is lying.
-
So according to Duncan castles, everything the league requests i.e. further information from the buyers, goes through the club and not the buyers. This would go against everything Caulkin has said from the beginning.
-
Surely the buyers confidence and no red flags has come from conversations with the premier league ?

So my take on the Guardian story last night: Why then, why release that on a Tuesday teatime? Why not a big Sunday exclusive? Its clear the journalist has sat on the report being from WTO for two weeks. My theory is he got wind of the fact the premier league is going to announce the takeover has passed its test soon. He therefore had to release the article to get his last bit of click bait from the article, which is just the same as last week but with WTO revelation. Just a theory but as good as any! As in last chance to release it as it could be meaningless soon.

Have Craig Hope and Luke Edwards? Yeah, Edwards last night and Hope this morning
-
Pretty bold statement that.... For all our sakes, I hope that his source is correct and this isn’t some made up ITK situation It's difficult to not get drawn into a statement like that but I don't know enough about him as a journalist to know if he's genuine or just another who's punting out tweets without substance. He is usually pretty good to be fair. All I know about him was him being first to report a breakdown in relationship between Ashley and Rafa and that was proven correct.
-
See all the journalists who commented on the story breaking last night are all saying they still think it will be passed by the premier league. Kind of seems it was scaremongering more than anything.
-
Do we actually think the Saudis would be that bothered if this got turned down? They invest in so many areas I’m not certain they actually care that much if it is rejected.
-
Because of the backlash and possible legaL threats they will face.
