  1. Think we will certainly go 4-5-1 now, Pardew will want extra cover for Taylor. Still really looking forward to this.
  2. Going off Pardew's comments the other night, we will be going 4-5-1/4-3-3, he also said we where poor going forward, whilst saying we improved after we made the changes, this would suggest Marv will start. If we go 4-5-1/4-3-3, and Santon plays LB, i think we will sneak this 0-1.
  3. Well i will love you and leave you all, good luck, see you all on the other side.
  4. Obertan SHOULD destroy there new LB who they signed from Arsenal.
  5. No point in risking our best players? You having a laugh.
  6. If we keep them out for the inevitable early pressure they will put us under, then i think we will come through unbeaten.
  7. Warnock said SWP will be given a free role, so this would mean Barton probably still playing on the right.
  8. Reminds me of the Blackpool home game last year, we had some good form going into that match, we had just signed Ben Arfa and Tiote, but Alan Smith kept his place. Would be stupid for Pardew to not play this lad.
  9. Think it will be that, although wouldn't be suprised if R.Taylor played LB.

We haven't got a game for over a week, can't see anything coming out the club till this time next week.

He put his reputation on the line with recent comments about being certain he'll have a striker before the window closes, it'll be very interesting to hear what he has to say, no one is denying he has no control of things but if you don't have control you shouldn't be stupid enough to put out statements like that, especially when those that do have power are who they are. We already know one of the main reasons he came in was to tell us everything the board wanted us to hear. He is a puppet, he is so please to just be in a job he will say whatever he is told.
  12. I don't think Ashley will be here as long as some are suggesting. But even then, who do you want to buy our club? Some rich Arab billionaire? They are soon going to tire of throwing tons of money into clubs and not getting any profit. They come in and rip the souls out of clubs and then move on. For what it's worth, I think Ashley will take a loss on his investment, but he won't take a big one. He's managing the debt/whatever you want to call it down so that we will be more attractive to buyers. I'd wager he won't be here for another five years. I would be delighted if we could get someone in who cares about the club, it isn't and never will be about throwing huge sums of money round. Of course spend some money to improve the team when it is needed, and you certainly don't need Man City money to do this.
  13. James Beattie and El Hadj Diouf are available on a free......

Does it really matter what he says? He has zero contol, he knew that coming in, he isn't suddenly come out and have a go at them, he was lucky to get the job, but now i feel we are quite lucky to even have him.
  15. I reckon we will go 4-5-1 for most if not all of our away games, not sure which forward best suits this role? Thoughts?
  16. So basically, we are in a mess in which Ashley will remain here for years?
  17. Our first 11 playing to there maximum for most of the season aye, if injuries kick in, we will struggle.
  18. How will the squad get good? Ashley never spends anything so it's a wonder that we have any good players that other teams might be interested in. I mean getting good players, the likes of Tiote and Cabaye, i was trying to say we simply buy them to sell them on. So we do buy good players then? Not what I've heard from most people on here. Don't think you can argue with the quality of most of our transfers, the reason they have been bought in however are so we can sell them for a profit, not build a squad around them and push on. Same can be said for the majority of clubs in our position tbh. Most of the better players don't want to stay for longer than they have to, we're a stepping stone. There is no reason for us to be one though, i think we have enough here to really push on if Mike was willing to back it, the players we have sold were willing to stay but where forced out. Obviously if one of the mega clubs come in it is different.
