Not buying in to that tbh, we would have know that the payment was guaranteed to come at this time, so we could have already signed players if we were going to knowing that we would be getting the money back.
-
Probably won't have long to wait. ?

As it stands yes, seemingly not much ambition as usual, and Ashley happy to do the minimum and hope to survive.

I'd personally sell the lot, buy a top keeper and have Woodman on the bench. Wonder if we could tempt Forster back? Wouldn't mention top keeper and then Forster in the same sentence, he is massively overrated. I think he's very good for where we are, he'd be a top keeper for some time if he came back. We couldn't afford Hart and Butland wouldn't sidestep (or currently drop a level) for us. Outside of the league I'm not sure of a top keeper who'd join us. Yeah I'm not saying he wouldn't be good for us, just when you said top keeper I thought you meant it as world class. He would more than do a job for us. I meant top keeper relative to our position. I'd prefer someone in the league as well after the disaster of a signing Sels was. Completely agree. ??

Would be worth it, we certainly won't sign better.

Nope, just the usual rubbish under Ashley.

We spent more and seemingly had more ambition last summer, looks like Mike will be happy to just try and scrape by in the premier league again.

Brentford star Jota will not play in their friendly against Aldershot tonight with a bid expected imminently from a Premier League club, Sky Sports News HQ understands. The Spaniard held a meeting with head coach Dean Smith and Bees officials on Thursday in which it was collectively agreed he should not take part in the game. Sky sources understand Huddersfield, Everton, West Ham and Newcastle have all shown interest in the 25-year-old - and he would be available for around £8m.

The mirror saying Rafa wants Samaris but is having to manage funds as we haven't got a vast budget. Also Ryder saying we can't compete with Stoke for Delph. Another positive transfer round up.
-
I think you're wrong like, we can't go into a season in the Premier with our current strike force. You can when your owned by Mike Ashley.
-
Same type of player as Matt Ritchie except slightly worse. Sounds promising.
-
Always thought Kroos would do well in the Prem ?
-
How would Chelsea missing out on there main striker target coupled with them selling Costa kick start any move for Batyshuai?
-
Not in for Hart, Clucas or Grosicki according to Luke Edwards. As for the 2 we are apparently close to signing, he said he may have news on that later today.
-
How massively underwhelming, guessing 2 loans and maybe a few million for Lawrence? We were more ambitious last summer, those 3 combined have pretty much zero top level football experience.
-
Not to Mike Ashley it doesn't. There is no way we will spend close to £20 million on one player.
-
Deserved IMO. Why do you think Lascelles deserves a new deal, I would be looking to get rid personally, and hasn't Dummett only just signed a new contract?
-
Anyone ever seen this lad play? His record looks awful considering the price tag. I don't think we should go near Rooney with a bargepole either. Looks like a foregone conclusion though sadly. You should have went all out for Sigurdson, and whats happening with Barkley?
-
Imagine if we actually blew £40 million on him.
-
Might be to replace Grey who we've been linked with?
-
If true, most likely one will be that Samaris guy, and maybe Grosicki? Can't profess to knowing much about both but they don't exactly set the pulse racing. We shall see. Agreed, I am probably completely wrong, but there seems to have been more speculation over them two than most others, Samaris in particular.
-
Supposedly good in the air which is something we definitely lack.
