  1. Bilic going to be under intese pressure if it stays this way.
  2. This forum hasn't really paid a lot of attention to FFP, hopefully that may change soon. But is it even possible with the current rules for any team to improve their station considerably ? I know PSG and Man City, have circumvented the rules, to still heavily invest however say some oil rich Saudi Prince took over Huddersfield Town how long would it take for them to be in a champions league position ?
  3. I don't know much about her but considering her CV and background, I have a hard time believing Amanda would agree to be part of an elaborate ruse, with the intention of what exactly ? I am pretty certain that there is genuine interest here from both sides, whether it comes to a happy ending is still very much debatable however.
  4. Last time I predicted us to win was Brighton away, so I'm sure you guys won't want me to predict a win here. I have no clue how this one will turn out to be truthful.
  5. This may have been answered on a previous page so please point me in that direction if it has but if you've started due diligence then you've agreed in principal to a price right ? Otherwise it's just negotiations at this point. Of course that's on the assumption tat the journalists are using the correct term.
  6. It is definitely different to previous "I want to sell" proclamations by Ashley. There is much more substance here. I'm still cautious though because we all know Ashley does nothing unless there is something in it for him, my head still says he's going to price us out of a takeover. Hopefully though the prospective owners are the types that won't quibble over 40-50 million, if they are of course they would be they would be the types that could inject a real change in our fortunes.
  7. Talking about her as a Milf makes me sad when she's younger than me, but way hotter than our current owner
  8. I'm sure that is a possibility, but it would be a funny way to go about a purchase when the current Liverpool owners are not really interested in selling.
  9. Where's this from? Read the previous page number9shirt quoted the FT article, last sentence in there.
  10. Amongst that shit show of a team KD managed to assemble he was a shining light, didn't really get a lot of credit at the time.
  11. The positive thing is that the stories coming out seem to be emanating from more reputable sources such as Reuters and the FT, also the fact that both the club and Staveley's group have declined to comment means there is at the very least talks going on. Still think though this will come down to whether Ashley holds true to his form of being a greedy bastard and pricing us out of a takeover. 300 million (including all of his debt) seems a fair price to me and if that's what they are bidding then he really should make sure the deal is pushed through.
  12. I just got an alert through their app (which seems to be much better than the web site, when it comes to pop ups) that there are fresh talks with Amanda planned.

Who knows, sometimes it's a springboard to a recovery, like it was with Wolves, or stabilzation with new ownership. What they probably don't need though is a few years of this struggling to survive in the champo, because soon those parachute payments will dry up and you won't be able to cut the wage bill any further.
  14. I was one of the ones that was angry with him leaving, at the time it, I don't think there was much to chose between Harper and Given. But he seemed to be a rat leaving the sinking ship. Interesting new background information, not sure why he waited until his biography to release it if he was so angry as he claims however. I do believe the story he tells, and certainly helps redeem him in my mind.

My work doesn't "trust" the RTG forum, so I can only imagine the crap they are spewing, must be a horrible time for them really. There is nothing at all for them to have any hope for with their own team, so their only really solace right now is to find something that they can cling to in a negative aspect about us. Trying to twist the possible(if unlikely) sale of NUFC, into a them or us situation where the clear winner is them is bizarre in the extreme, but when you are clutching at straws for comfort what can you do ?
  16. Absolutely agree with this. The daft clubs who went this route recently deserve everything they get. Luckily for us, Hughton turned out alright. Hughton was the exact opposite, frankly he was appalling as a caretaker, he only got the gig because there was no one else left standing. He then becomes permanent an suddenly shows a great aptitude for the job, it was really weird.
  17. It so rarely works, makes you wonder what goes into the heads of those owners that appoint them.

  19. Still don't think we will be sold, no point in getting any hopes up. Something will have to give in terms of either the asking price for Ashley or the lack of firm interest.
  20. That's a shame, because he was taking them nowhere, hopefully they don't appoint someone decent next.

Glorious if true. Why would any financial institution agree to secure any loan on future PL TV money there, when Sunderland every year flirted very heavily with relegation? Although it would be glorious if it happened, I highly doubt they are in any serious danger of imminent administration, maybe later down the line though if they don't sort themselves out somehow.
  22. The only type of new owner I would be wary of would be the type that does what the Glazers did at Manure and bought the club on borrowed money. It hasn't worked out all that badly for Manure, but I doubt we would be that lucky. We are financially stable right now, would hate to turn into a Sunderland.

I know everyone likes to paint me as the negative nancy around here but the only way I can see us going down is if Rafa leaves. The division hasn't really settled down yet, however I expect us to be around where we are right now, it's a fair reflection on our start.

Funny how on that thread they are giving Sima shit for bring it up, but at the time of posting they were giving it big style on how it's a pub league and they have a team full of superstars by that standard. They really want it both ways, just man up and admit it that you fucked up.
