Loftus Cheek has only played a few times for Chelsea, how could you possibly have seen him play that much?

 

I've seen him a couple of times for Chelsea towards the end of last season. Looked so classy man. Wasn't insinuating I had seen him loads. All I said was that he was talented.

I guess I'm just excited by their potential, and pre-supposing that at the under 21 level they should be able to stand out.

This situation is really appalling. No reason we shouldn't have started hiring staff by now.

Why no Ince by the way? The area I think could be better are the wide players if anything.

It's interesting, the gap in opinions on Sterling.

 

Firstly, if Carroll could stay fit, he'd be worth every penny of 35m. He's a striker, who scores goals and is a constant menace. Anyway, it's irrelevant because he's a crock.

 

Sanchez is worth way more than 30m. That's based on taking into account the huge fees paid for players who have achieved nothing. Luke Shaw cost 30m remember, thats based on one good year, don't tell me it's not relevant.

 

As for Sterling, 30m, 40m, 50m? He's worth what City are willing to pay for him. IMO they could do more with their money but it's not as if it's a financial risk to them. They are hardly going to run out of money. They are just flexing their considerable muscle.

My goodness ... forgot Luke Shaw cost £30 million.

No way I would accept £35 million for Sterling. No chance.

Chalobah and Loftus Cheek are so talented. Both more holding types though, so I assume either Ward Prowse or Will Hughes would then play off the front man, if they choose to line up that way?

Really like the midfield tbh.

Its depressing to think that Blackburn spent 8million Rhodes from a League 1 team 3 years ago, Fulham spent 11mill on McCormack and Nottingham Forest 7mill on Assombalonga. Yet last season we would of made more than 2 of them put together probably all 3 and we're looking in the same price bracket as them.

Damn ... when you put it like that we really are a disgrace. Not that I didn't know that already!

As if Carroll's price is a marker for anything.

It's a marker for how much you can take the p*ss when people want a young talented English player.

As it's Man City they should definitely be looking to rinse them more than that.

That's good money, but when I think we got £35 million for Carroll then I'm not so sure. They should aim for £50 million.
