Cisse looked like he was still fasting man. No energy or strength.

I'm telling you right now, if we sign a striker like Gomis, once Remy is fit , we will play 4-4-2 and Cisse will be on the bench.

The way we play would improve ten fold if we had a more physical striker, as this is what suits Pardew's approach.

We will never consistently play good enough football to create the kind of chances Cisse will need to thrive. Not under Pards.

All those clipped balls to Cisse are just handing possession back over to the other team. Imagine someone like Carroll in those instances though? He'd hodl it up more often than not, and allow the rest of the team to advance some.

This is just a fact of life. It is what it is. Another player not suited to the team ethos. A manager not capable of abiding by an alternative ethos either, and so here we are in limbo.

This guy is literally the worst kind of striker for us to have.

Always looking to get in behind, and can't hold the ball up or win physical battles.

Considering our team is incapable of getting in position to play balls through to him, and instead loves hoofing/clipping/lumping/floating the ball up to him early, for only god knows what reason, it's a match made in hell.

Sickening to watch time and time again.

They started off 4-3-3, for the first 6 minutes or so. As soon as Zabaleta started hurtling down the flank, Jonas pushed out left to counter him. 4-4-2/4-4-1 for the majority of the match.

Gouffran went up top straight away, and Jonas to the left.

Ben Arfa doesn't help him much has to be said.

That whole left side is a mess.

Ben Arfa doesn't defend his full back that well. Tiote charges around and is out of position defensively. To top it off Debuchy is more of an attack minded player than a defensive one. Ugly.

He's thick as f*** like, not just the sending off but he has no clue where the defensive line is half the time either. If he's not too deep playing everyone onside, he's doing that ridiculous power-lunge up the pitch leaving a massive gap in behind him... He has absolutely no f***ing clue what he's doing if it doesn't involve heading or charging in the way of shots like an utter neanderthal. Second thickest in the team, closely behind Tiote.

He can't defend teams with movement. He shouldn't be on the pitch against this calibre of opposition.

The guy is rudimentary. Only okay against brutish type teams with lumbering strikers with no pace and movement.

Handles in the box (unintentionally), puts on a show like a 10-year old to plead his case, immediately follows it up by bludgeoning Aguero about the head. Couldn't script those 20 seconds better.

 

Aguero done him like a kipper, if you watch it again, Aguero digs him in the ribs after having a little look for where Saylor was, Saylor saw it coming and did what he did. Hook line and sinker the thick f***er.

His pace would have been the only out ball we had. Sub him off.

He was amazing that first season. Just a solid uncomplicated player.

At least unlike Cisse he can deal with a bit of physical challenge and link the play.

 

Infinitely better at running with the ball and better movement too.

Surprising how well the ball sticks with him. He's definitely got more fight to him.

Also works the channels better than Cisse, and is far more comfortable on the ball.

Great when through on goal this lad, we just can't get ever craft a moment for him to ever be in scoring position. So he's pretty useless if that's the case.

If he was able to hold it up it would help create chances for him.

 

We can't play in and around him as he doesn't make the ball stick.

 

For the second goal, imagine he held on to the ball and played it to HBA... we could move up the pitch as a unit. But no, tackled, one ball through the heart of us.. goal.

On the flip side we've just been anal filsted by a bunch of over-payed divas.

For refusing to play he's an absolute diva bitch. Simple.

Really like this guy. I want to see him play upfront more. His finish today was lovely, just went a bit early. Far better all round player than Cisse. hasn't been given a chance to see if he'll score goals as a front man.

Only Gouffran, Sissoko and Coloccini seem emotionally and professionally mature enough right now.
