The sad thing about all this is that it is down to JK trying to keep everyone happy and pretty much payting too much attention to previous reputations. Viduka imo should not be brought on to the pitch ever okay. Not unless we are losing and need an extra striker on. He is an unprofessional, fat lump who has seriously taken the piss while he has been here.

Signign a left-back is not a problem. As long as other areas are improved also I will be very happy with an additional left back, purely because any sort of injury to Enrique and we have to start patching things together again. I know Bassong is decent there, but in my opinion he is too important for us in the centre of defence and needs to stay there.

Ultimately I will be judging Kinnear on what he does in the transfer window, and basically what areas of the team he has deemed worthy of improvement. In my opinion he could have done a lot worse thus far. I think it's a testament to the small improvement he has made that we are all so upset over a draw. Before he came in I honestly felt as though we would never win another game, no lie. I think to some extent Joe is still learning about our players, particularly the likes of Martins and Zoggy who he wouldn't have known too much about. Unfortunately he is far more familiar with the likes of Duff and Viduka who I am hoping he will soon come to realise are completely past it. The closing of the January transfer window will be his judgement day.

The Newcastle United Transfer Thread: D-Day [Spoiler: Not Much Happens]
KaKa replied to LooneyToonArmy's topic in Football
I think it could be very valuable actually, especially regarding the likelihood of them settling in the country and adjusting to the premier league as he would be coming directly from Argentina. -
Some great stuff guys well done.

Guys get out and enjoy your evenings. We are clearly going to be fine under Kinnear and will not get relegated. He has definitely made things better since we came in and there will be better days ahead. Take care.
-
tbh I'm just so relieved that we didn't lose the game, and in my opinion it was just a very unfortunate set of circumstances. Don't really see the benefit of getting all riled up with Kinnear. He wasn't perfect but the abuse is way harsh imo.
-
You guys are right Kinnear is the worst manager on Earth. Hopefully we turn on him and drive him out and Houghton can take over till the end of the season.
-
A lot of people jumping on the Kinnear vitriol bandwagon right now. Can't imagine what would have happened had we actually lost the game. Unfortunate conditions today but another point on the board lets move on.
-
Probably because Keegan drove him out of the club.
-
Kinnear's setup got us the 2-0 lead in the first palce did it not? We had no midfielders to come on for Guthrie. It was never a clear cut decision what to do. All things considered it was terrible but we didn't lose.
-
The current situation clearly sucks but it's an unfortunate injury more than anything that has caused this and Kinnear is getting a bit too much grief I feel. He did do an excellent job with the team he picked to start and we've just been unlucky. Really hoping we hold on as the criticism of Joe will clearly be undeservedly harsh.

Will depend whether or not his name has been changed to Charlie O'Zogbia...
-
Zoggy okay to continue?
-
Didnt you say earlier that God must love NUFC ? Obviously someone hasn't said their prayers at halftime and pissed him right off!
-
Taylor would be disastrous against this lot at CB.
-
Why did we have to get an injury in midfield at such an inappropriate time for goodness sake! So typical.
-
Think Joe has done the right thing. Don't want Taylor at CB against these big guys he would wilt under the presure as he typically does.

Good stuff. Sounds like Kinnear has actually given them good instructions on how to go about their business, rather than just putting them both upfront and hoping something happens. yep, its like Martins is playing as a winger sometimes. typical move is guthrie or geremi spreading it wide, martins and jonas-beye/n'zogbia-enrique trebling up on stoke's full back, their centre-half pulled out of position by martins, opening up space elsewhere. Sounds good.

It's criminal! The majority on here know we have better players on the bench but ut has taken injuries for them to be given a chance. Let's just hope we continue in this vein and play so well that Kinnear cannot bring himself to reintroduce any of those clowns.
-
Okay so all of a sudden with the additional pace of zoggy to worry about it appears even more spaces are opening up for our strikers. We've basically been shooting ourselves in the foot the majority of this season because we clearly have better players in the team who we have been keeping on the bench! Why?! Very good to see Martins and owen linking up for the second goal. Very good sign. Owen is really surprising me today. Just when you think he's done as a striker in the 4-4-2. Let's keep it up boys.

God must absolutely love Newcastle United. For the first time ever all of our suspect players are the ones getting injured. Taylor, Duff and Butt finally losing out due to injury.
