I'm not bashing Owen just stating the fact that his left foot has probably cost us around 10 goals this season. Anyway, Owen is absoilutely worthless unless Martins is on the pitch, as he will unsettle defences and allow Owen to get in. You can only imagine what we would have been like with Martins and Viduka upfront and Zoggy on the left, which is infact our best three options in these positions. However, Keegan has sold his soul by making Owen captain and deeming him undroppable and that pisses me off because it is costing us points.

Anyone else notice how our attacking play has suddenly gone dead? Owen's pathetic left foot making a cameo again there. Goodness me ...

No pace to chase the long passes anymore. All attacking impetus gone ... Just when things started looking up Keegan had to go and do that. We had a chance to win this and we were piling on the pressure, why make a change anyway?

Play Martins for 90 and he comes into the game, I've said it time and time again. He isn't even in his position and look at what he is doing.

Where are all the Martins haters and their 4 corners of development spiel? What a player he is ... Viduka was just unbelievably greedy just then or he would have scored, Martins.

Oh the value of Martins ... creates for others by just being a nuisance. These are things that just cannot be quantified.

Martins has looked sharp but can only do so much from outwide. Still he has done more than Owen and has looked good linking up with Viduka. Keegan has to be brave and drop Owen for Zoggy. Owen is a luxury that cannot be afforded in our current plight. Simple as.

I was nervous until I saw the team. I feel very good. Just knowing that even if we concede we still have a chance of scoring enough goals to win with the players we have out there.

Wigan vs Bolton ... got to be hoping Wigan wins that one right?

It really is such a shame we can't really enjoy the exciting changes being made at the club at the moment, due to the threat of relegation. If we could just stay up there will clearly be some very exciting times ahead for us. It's so nice to see investments being made in the youth at this club and not just reading about other clubs doing it.

Geremi's mobility won't be as much of a problem as long as Beye makes himself available and really bombs forward. This will create space for Geremi to whip in his crosses.

It's funny because other than Geremi we don't really have anyone else who crosses the ball that well. I also have a feeling Geremi will link up better with Beye and he will get Beye the ball in more dangerous attacking positions. Milner's impatient style and general lack of awareness didn't really allow Beye to join in the attacking play enough.
