I like Watkins and I think he will only continue to improve and will be great for them.

We were pinned back the same way at home by Fulham

Everytime Bruce comes out and claims to be hard done by and the fans expect too much, and the media carry the same idea and run with it, the club dies a little more.

It's got to the point now that when I complain about the team my friends now say what do I expect that Newcastle have championship players, and Bruce is doing well to even have them out of the relegation zone.

Meanwhile Leeds and Fulham, who do actually have players they used in the championship just a few months ago have completely outplayed us this season.

Defensively in the individual sense, we were fantastic. In the team sense, defensively we were a joke, cut to shreds at times with only last gasp challenges and brilliant saves keeping them out. Based on that, we'll scrape to about 35 points and probably stay up but Christ, football is supposed to be an escape, not a reflection of life.

Exactly. Some heroic stuff from certain individuals, but we looked a mess defensively IMO.

Blaming Covid, no pre-season and no break for making things so difficult now ...

On another day Salah would have scored at least 2 from the chances he had. We defended well and Darlow was class, but let's be honest we were very lucky with Liverpools finishing.

It's a good result for the team, no doubt.

Can we really call it a good defensive performance with the chances they had though?

Just utterly revolting that Bruce is managing a team in the PL. Just an utter charlatan.

The man makes over £1 million pounds a year to just have the players go out and sit in our box.

Painful to watch every single game, but we should be grateful because it means we narrowly avoid relegation every season.
