  1. I wasn't going to harp on about that myself, but really happy for Theo. He's been really good for Southampton since returning.

Always maintained he should have been used more than Bernard and Iwobi last season at Everton and got loads of stick for it.

  2. We absolutely can’t be picking our attackers based on how well they defend set pieces.

    FFS.

This club man. We are so depressingly bad.

In actuality, we might as well pick them based on how they do defend set pieces because they don't do any attacking.

  3. They'll learn nowt from McClaren. They don't understand form or momentum. Nothing will be done until its too late.

Aye. McClaren should've gone after we lost 5-1 to Chelsea in mid February, we had 3 weeks without a game before a double header v Stoke and Bournemouth which we ended up losing after sticking with McClaren. Benitez would've came in in those 3 weeks and we almost certainly would've picked up more points than in the 10 games he had and stayed up. And we may well have kicked on, I'll die on the hill that going down in 2015/16 set us back years and probably was the beginning of the end for Benitez here in spite of him staying and the optimism of those first 6 months in the Championship.

The will they won't they of binning McClaren after the home Bournemouth defeat filled me with dread, fear out of who they'd replace him with. By the following Friday we confirmed Benitez and we all couldn't fucking believe it. I remember being so giddy at seeing photos of him on SSN on adverts for his first game at Leicester and even more so seeing him being interviewed with the crest on his lapel. Reason I'm reiterating this is because no one ever thought we'd ever appoint a manager of the calibre of Rafa under Ashley, will we again? 99.99% sure that managers of that calibre that are out of work that I would get super giddy about being here; Allegri for example (Tuchel maybe too? Don't particularly rate him as anywhere near that calibre) wouldn't touch an Ashley NUFC with a ten mile pole due to saga after saga when Rafa was here regarding transfers. Surely?

    God I'm depressed now.

Sad thing is they didn't even approach Rafa. He got in touch with the club himself to say he was interested.

Every other time Mike Ashley and his "advisors" have picked the manager and it's been a disaster every single time.

  4.

We are in an era of football where managers are capable of playing multiple formations and different approaches in a single game.

Our manager is talking about the progress he has made with the team because over four games the team is 'getting used to' simply playing further up the pitch.

  5. Honestly, I am so sick of hearing his nonsense, that I could probably do with a break in football just so as not to see his goofy face and hear his stupid mouth. At this point I would actually welcome a break with open arms.

  6. Morally the cunt should resign.

    Indeed. Pot and kettle.

Obviously he isn't wrong in his sentiment, especially if things continue with outbreaks at clubs.

I'm sure things will be stopped when they need to.

I don't want to hear from those two charlatans that are just serving their own interests.

  7. Spurs' latest test came back with no positives in their squad. If PL/football stops the players are still going to be going into training though, aren't they?

Still living in same 'bubbles' interacting with their wives, kids etc. Basically the same risk of them catching anything is still going to be there. All that's going to essentially change is match days, when currently obviously anyone whose positive isn't allowed anywhere near.

Allardyce came out with this nonsense last week. In his point, if he was that worried about Covid at 66 he wouldn't have taken the job, and would be masked up all the time. His interest was obviously the fact WBA are in a tale spin, and stopping football would sort that immediatly.

Bruce is only coming out with this as it'll suit his own end if football is cancelled for a bit. More time to get players back fit, and more time on training ground with them, and obviously curtail the fact he can't buy a win atm (LLWWLDLLDL)

You're 100% correct. No coincidence it's both Allardyce and Bruce. They have absolutely no regard for anyone's well being whatsoever and are clearly just covering their arses as they always do.

If it really mattered to Allardyce so much why on earth would he take a job just a few weeks prior knowing the current circumstances?  They both lack integrity and are just looking for the easiest way out, and it's just a convenient ruse.

    Pathetic stuff.
