Bruce will not put them in position to capitalize often enough. No team looks as hopeless and hapless with the ball as we do, and the defenders are not going to score goals like they did last season.

Watching this game and these two teams are better than us man, and they'll go on to show it.

From what I can see I don't think we will either. Bruce is obsessed with set pieces, and he doesn't want to play those three attacking midfielders together because in his mind we'll be too small a team.

Honestly don't think the journalists actually watch the game, or even pay attention enough to ask any sensible questions.

I saw a gazette article this morning talking about how Joelinton played on the left yesterday, when he was on the right all game.

It's pitiful really.

Bruce just amazes me man.

I mean Joe's had a run of games recently, if you wanted to change the formation, with no one playing off Wilson, then why not just rest the guy this game?

And if you did feel you had to play him for whatever reason, the way we lined up, you had to have him on the left and then ASM on the right.

Joe is never going to take people on and run with the ball like ASM, and so having him on the same side as Krafth who isn't going to bomb on made no sense. The right hand side was killed off with that decision.

If you had him on the left at least he could than use Lewis who makes overlapping runs all game. ASM is lethal either side and would have been fine on the right as he doesn't need support from Krafth.

Bruce has to be one of the all time worst. Didn't even think to have Joe and ASM switch sides at any point. It's farcical.

My favourite part yesterday was when we were 1-1 and sitting far too deep and Hayden got injured. Captain sensible decided to put a centre half in to replace him (when we had so many attacking options sitting there). That’s it Steve, sitting so deep hadn’t worked all that time, so let’s try sitting even deeper. That will show them. Final result 1-4. Masterclass Steve, well done.

Oh it's going to get worse as far as sitting back.

His comments after the game were that we were naïve defensively, so expect us to maybe even go to 5 at the back sitting deep going forward

He doesn't understand we look so bad defensively partly because we are so deep and can't hold onto the ball with any kind of possession and actually get out of our half

They were coming off a 6-1 thrashing. Missing Martial, Pogba and Greenwood from the starting 11. With us playing at home.

And we came into the match to sit back and let them have a training session to get them back on track.

He'll come in next game and be played on the right hand side (because Bruce) where he struggles to have an impact , and we'll look awful again, and we'll lose again.

This is the thing, if we're going to get battered and concede a boatload of chances each game at least make it exciting the other way.

If he did that we'd actually get a good amount of decent results, but after today he'll be thinking the opposite. He'll be wanting to go more defensive.

The team just came off a decent 3-1 win at home and he's gone more defensive with the same players shunted into a mismatched formation at home.
