  1. Mane right to be angry at Salah who can be incredibly selfish at times.

Noticed for a while now that they have a bit of a rivalry with each other, and will look off one another to have a pop at goal instead.

Can argue it lead to them pushing each other to achieve the ridiculous totals they both did last year. They'll be fine. Both love to score goals.

  2. Tammy Abraham exploding onto the scene now.

Remember when Rafa wanted him ...

Not really. He's been around the 'scence' for a while.

Doing well though, good on him.

    Premier league scene I meant.

Although to be fair, his goals have come against Norwich and Sheffield Utd, so still Championshipish teams really.

This must be what? Close to his 40th Premier League game?

Yes, but he hasn't had much of an impact at this level yet

Why is this so difficult to understand

  4. Like watching two borderline relegation teams slog it out

    Borderline???

On the assumption that there’s a least a few worse.

Commentator telling us that Bruce must be livid because we’re not on the front foot and pulling out of challenges

We're not on the front foot because Bruce will be confused as to how to set his team up at home after last week's success away at Spurs. I predicted it in the pre-match thread.

Bruce is just another Pardew, he'll keep juggling formations after every defeat because he really has no idea. He himself has said he doesn't do formations.

Are we actually sat back as much as we were at Spurs, for this home game against Watford who is at the bottom with us?! Not watching the game so can't see.

I must admit I thought Bruce may just go with the same approach even against lesser teams.

I'm not watching it, that was just my opinion before the game, that Bruce would have no idea how to switch up a gear after winning with a backs to the wall performance based on Rafa's set up. From the reports at the ground it sounds like we are really struggling to get on the front foot so only confirms Bruce's absolute incompetence for me.

Yeah, it's not surprising really. But still just so pathetic.

  5. Haller was a great signing.

Yeah, he looks quality, and is a lovely link up player for the likes of Lanzini and Anderson.

Man Utd should have been after him knowing they were getting rid of Lukaku and Sanchez.

Would have been a great focal point for them.

  7. Depends if he knew how far Rose was from him which i'm 50/50 on. It was such a calm finish i'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Get it out his feet, slide into the corner.

At around 2:21 he takes a quick look at Rose's position, prior to receiving the ball.

  8. I love that after the touch he looks at the goalies position before slamming it home. Very composed.

Also, prior to receiving the ball he has a quick look at where Rose is behind him, which may give validity to him having the touch away from where Rose is coming from.

  9. He's probably our most important player

He makes massive contributions both defensively and offensively.

Offensively he moves well and finds space, carries the ball extremely well and  is a threat in behind with his pace.

In a more attack minded team, he would have registered goals and assists by now, but we don't play that way.

It will come though, and I would predict once he gets the monkey off his back he will become far more clinical.
