  1. First time in a while I can actually enjoy other games.

Usually, I'm annoyed by the Newcastle performance/result and don't feel like watching anymore football.

    I'm enjoying it.

 One day you and I will agree on something. It's gonna happen, KaKa!

    O0

  2. Chelsea awesome here.

    Yup, they look fantastic.

Mason Mount is going to have a good season. Both he and Pulisic I think. Very energetic the two of them.

My countryman N'didi has form for that kind of error, unfortunately. Done that exact same mistake leading directly to a goal before.

  3. This Sheffield United team is playing the exact same system we do, and it looks far more organised and well drilled.

Their two strikers are also playing as a proper partnership with a good amount of support joining from midfield and wing-back.

Well coached side too many Championship level players though.

It’ll be remarkable if Chris Wilder keeps them up.

Well, they're much better than us.

Just scored a good goal after some good build up play.

They are playing some decent stuff. Their two centre backs on the sides really push up and get involved high up the pitch, it's a really interesting setup.

Yeah Chris Wilder is a very good coach, created the numerical advantage for the goal & has them doubled up well on Zaha when defending.

    Impressed mostly with their balance.

It’ll still be remarkable if he keeps them up with the players he has though.

It would be, but from what I'm seeing I wouldn't count them out.

They really look like they know what they're doing.

  6. They don't know what they are doing answers a lot of these little mysteries. It's been clear over the last decade that it's all seat of the pants stuff and very little attention to detail. Just got lucky with Rafa, won't happen again.

Yeah ... especially as Rafa was even the one to approach them.

  7. I can’t understand this transfer one bit. Even if he scored 20 goals in his first season the club wouldn’t make much profit (after wages and agent fees). Such a big risk buying a player for that amount in this model, i’m certainly there is more to this.

The guy's value has probably halved already thanks to throwing him out there in a system that doesn't even function.

Absolutely needed a very good manager that wants to work with and bring along young players to even have a chance.

That’s exactly what I mean; if you’re going to buy young players and increase their value, you don’t appoint Steve Bruce. The club must know this? Is it another agent favour?

Maybe, but these agents also have managers they represent right?

Why on earth couldn't they get a decent manager from one of these agents too?

    The whole thing is ridiculous.

  9. Dumb and Dumber are ruining this forum. Repetitive, boring, shit.

They are no better than Mike Ashley.

They have no respect for their fellow fans based on their idea they are superior to others because they have a different opinion.

They come on here everyday and laud Rafa Benitez, but why? They share none of the man's values or have even a modicum of that man's dignity.

It is all fake and what they really enjoy is having something to be angry about because they are generally angry people.

  10. Sadly that means he won’t sell.

This is the scary thing man.

People are so convinced we'll go tumbling down and he'll end up selling us, for what would have to be peanuts, relative to what he could have got.

He is incredibly stubborn, and I just can't see that either.

He’ll want to come out the ‘winner’ in any deal, probably with the sale price and by shafting he new owners on retail and advertising. Which obviously no sane buyer will sign up to.

Maybe when he’s older he might want to liquidate all his assets and retire, might be our best option. Or he dies.

    It's a very troubling situation.

Our best chance of him selling had to have been with Rafa being under contract with the crowd behind him, and the club securing prem status.

And he didn't sell ... it's not good at all.

  11. Telling Almiron to get in the box for a cross, bit strange from Al.

He hardly said that. He said he should be gambling? I'd rather a forward gamble than think ah f*** it I'm to small to go for that cross.....

But surely, the tactics should not be let's see if Almiron can get on the end of a cross

No they're probably not, but is there any difference in the goal Sterling scored being similar height and build to Almiron, and Shearer highlighted that Both Aguero and Sterling both know to move when they see De Bruyn cross, they had seconds on spurs defenders because they gambled.

I can see what you are saying.

But i'd say there is, City pretty much always build attacks so they are overloading the oppositions defence, most of Sterlings goals from "crosses" are tap ins at the back post from low driven crosses, not aerial ones, that was a one off.

The one Shearer highlighted with us was Ritchie putting a hopefull cross in from deep with next to no chance of Almiron getting there, it was hardly a structured attack.

Its not what I'm saying, but im saying I can see Shearers point.

He'd expect players to gamble, anything could have happened in the box where possible it did fall to feet? I mean rewind to the earlier cross and miss from Krafth, the ball goes over everyone and lands with the full back who's got forward (gambled) a bit of composure from him and that was one nil, but he gave himself no time at all.

By the way, none of this is in defence of Bruce,  I'm just saying Shearer highlighting players should be gambling particularly forwards, is not really looking out for his pal Bruce. I reckon he would say that of any player in any side not being hungry when the balls coming into the box, you know what he's like, he's obsessed when he thinks of a player not hungry for a goal, it's all he knows, the reason he loves the Harry Kanes of this world, desire to get in the box and sniff around for anything.

It isn't Almiron's game though, he wants the ball at his feet running at defenders, not gambling on a f***ing (aerial) punt into the box from Ritchie.

    But tjat's Bruce for ya.

It's possible for him to do both you know.

When a cross is about to come in, you want your attacking players trying to find space in the box for a chance to score.

But the one Shearer highlighted, Almiron was never going to get on the end of it, Ritchie would have been better just cutting back and passsing, to have a go at Almiron in that situation is mad for me like.

I will agree with you in that it seems we were crossing far too early from way too deep.

A very obvious "get the ball int he box lads" instruction from the manager.

These crosses are certainly not ideal for more diminutive players, however, he still should be in there because the ball could still drop to him.

I think I get what you're saying though. The whole approach is just wrong.
