Wow ... merry Christmas Aston Villa. That is such a punch in the gut

Think it's so unfortunate we didn't go in for Abraham again last summer, when the hype around him had died down a fair bit after Swansea's bad season.
Really think it was a good opportunity missed. Interest in him is likely going to be high going forward again now.

OGS and these boys making Mou look silly. Wow.
Some very very slick football.
-
They seemingly just gift everyone else penalties except us. It's bizarre.
-
And I'm not saying he didn't contribute in those months, just that he clearly looks far more motivated today.
Yeah, think you're both correct really.
You can see he's more excited and up for it for sure. He now has someone encouraging him to get forward and have an impact in attacking areas.
That will certainly be a huge boost.

Martial looks like a different player today. Really poor from him to have spent the last few months sulking his way through games. You don't want players like that in your squad.
Martial was the only player keeping Jose in a job. He has scored like 8 or 9 goals in the few months you reckon he's been sulking.
Please research before coming out with nonsense.
Your point is spot on, and yet the guy is so good that you felt there was more in him.
I think he is absolutely class, and Mourinho has been holding him back some, certainly.
I'm actually really happy for him. He's a fantastic talent.

Mourinho clearly didn't trust him though and had messed him about from pretty early on.
Mourinho's priority with wide players is always how well they defend. He is just a really negative manager in that sense.
Martial seems a pretty committed player. he just wasn't happy.

Oh my goodness ... that goal for Martial is just outrageous!
-
This is outrageous
23pts with two players left. You may think that Hazard (LEI), Sterling (CRY), Wilson (BRI), F Anderson (WAT) and Mitrovic (new) had a fantastic set of fixtures, but no. Nothing at all.
One of my mates is on 24 points with no one else to play
Captained Sterling and also had Sane and Aguero.

It's an absolute blood bath for all the Man City owners in fantasy football this week man. My goodness

Struggling to remember us ever being as boring to watch as we are now. Seen plenty of absolute shit over the 30 odd years I have been watching us, but can’t remember it ever being so dull and boring. We average around 1 shot a match it feels and to be this dull at home is fucking abysmal.
Come on man. Pardew ball was worse and we'd also get thumped as well.
-
A grimy point at home. Oh well.
A slow grind to survival.
-
Sick of Kenedy. Just terrible at everything.
One where we may have had a lucky escape.
£20 million on him would have been painful.
-
Dunno who Palace's goalie is but he looks a lot better than Hennessey.
Unbelievable timing
-
We never get penalties man. This is ridiculous.
-
It's just about grinding out results and hoping we stay up at this point.
During this Christmas period where rotation is bound to take place, I imagine we'll look particularly awful.
I am looking forward to Muto coming back into reckoning though, as I think he has a bit of excitement about him at least.
He leaves soon for the asia cup.
Ah, forgot he was off as well. That's such a shame.

Aguero's just come on and Palace have just scored their 3rd, and so Man City are going to bombard them now. Interesting to see who benefits in the Man City team.
-
Palace get number 3.
-
Penalty for Palace man. Yikes! This is mad.
-
No idea why I even contemplated an Ederson clean sheet
I have him as well. He's been useless lately
-
Ah, great ... another Aubameyang goal. Of course, after I dropped him this week.
-
FWIW, there was a spell either last season or the one before (shite memory) where they genuinely played some very nice stuff.
Yeah, I do recall periods where they have, certainly.
But it seems right after a few bad results he does then look to resort to two big guys upfront and a direct approach.
There's no real belief in any kind of progressive play, which is needed at better clubs I think.
-
The Dyche hype in the past few seasons does seem to have been based purely on results, which is fair enough I guess. However, the football is pretty awful, and there isn't a single player in the team you would be remotely interested in signing.
It's just pretty much a lot of cloggers that compete. He really should have brought in a better quality of player into the team by now, as they've been in the prem a few years. It's very much along the line of the Allardyce model, but perhaps with even less interesting players than Sam on the whole.
Don't think he'd cut it at a better club at all. In contrast Howe is far more progressive and brings some really interesting and talented players through.
The other games today 2018/19

Calvert-Lewin did really well for Theo's goal. I like him upfront in this Everton team.
Don't think Richarlison was strong enough holding up the ball when used as a front man recently. More suited out on the left.
