  1. Now Jesus looks like he is in form it is going to make Aguero even more of a headache now, as Pep will be more likely to rotate him, because Jesus has looked good recently.

All the Man City players are such a pain tbh. Now KDB is back there will be even more options to rotate.

  2. Aguero likely to start?

Not sure whether to captain him or not.

Jesus scoring twice last weekend makes me think Aguero may start on the bench.

I wouldn't make him captain. Reckon he'll be on the bench and get a run out. I suspect a 15 minute run out rather than a 30 minute one.

I need a budget defender. Manquillo is tempting.

Yeah, think you're probably right

Going with Wilson at home to Brighton as captain.

  3. If kaka doesn’t want him, then I hope we sign him.

Whew ... man, you guys would be so mad at Victor Moses if he signed.

All joking aside, he is so poor now it's untrue. Can't believe anyone is looking to sign him.

Used to love him as a player too. but all that time as a right wing back has negatively affected him.

  4. From following Nigeria at the World Cup, he has lost all of his attacking instincts, or his legs have seemingly gone or something. Wouldn't be a good idea at all I don't think.

Unless you'd want him at right back/right wing back, and even then there'd have to be better options than him. I'd never have him there ahead of Yedlin anyway.

  5. If Man U go for Pochettino, are Spurs likely to look at Rafa as an option? You'd think so right?

If he signs a new contract, that means he's happy and will stay. If he doesn't sign a new deal, then Spurs seems a good fit. (Levy would splooge over 34m for Poch, to be replaced with a free Rafa!)

Yeah, it would certainly be a worry.

  6. Jose Mourinho told Man United player to 'stay away' from Paul Pogba - sources

MANCHESTER -- Jose Mourinho's relationship with Paul Pogba at Manchester United had deteriorated to such an extent during his final weeks as manager at Old Trafford that the Portuguese told at least one member of his squad to "stay away" from the midfielder, sources have told ESPN FC.

Mourinho and Pogba had become increasingly detached and distrusting of each other since the player was substituted during a 2-0 defeat against Tottenham at Wembley in January, but by the time Mourinho was sacked on Tuesday, the disaffection had spread throughout the dressing room.

While Mourinho refused to comment on reports earlier this month that he had described Pogba as a "virus" following the 2-2 draw against Southampton at St Mary's, his opinion was made clear when he urged one of his senior players, during a one-on-one meeting, to avoid being influenced by the France international.

Unsurprisingly, the message from Mourinho was quickly relayed to the dressing room, where the depth of ill-feeling towards the manager was such that sources have told ESPN FC that "90 percent" of the players had lost all respect for the former Chelsea and Real Madrid coach due to his critical treatment of them, both in the dressing room and in public.

Had Mourinho remained in charge, several players were prepared to seek a move away from Old Trafford next summer, but sources said that the mood has now changed significantly since Tuesday's sacking and the squad are now looking forward to "enjoying their football and their life again."

Mourinho did not make a final visit to the dressing room on Tuesday after being told by executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward that he had lost his job.

A handful of players did visit Mourinho in his office at United's Carrington training ground to wish him well, but while sources said it was an "emotional" morning for some of the club's staff, the mood among the players was upbeat and celebratory rather than one of regret.

Despite the air of negativity around Carrington, and the hostility towards Mourinho, sources said that Pogba, in particular, has worked hard to ensure that the players' discontent has not affected non-playing staff at the club.

On one occasion recently, a high-profile player drove away from the training ground after refusing to do a contractually-obliged interview with a rights holder before a Premier League game. But having been told of his teammate's no-show, Pogba volunteered to take his place to ensure that members of the club's media department did not fall foul of the Premier League's rules.

  7. They seem to be making a big deal of going the Director of Football route.

I wonder if they are therefore just interested in having one of their own who has the most experience in management, and who will happily embrace the head coach role with an experienced number 2, and then the Director of Football playing a bigger role and controlling recruitment and influencing the style of play.

Think they will give Solskjaer every chance to win the job operating in this kind of structure.

  8. The most realistic link I have seen so far is the Borini one. It is absolute textbook.

Rafa being given no money, and so having to go after someone he knows well (from Liverpool) and therefore he knows he can trust at the very least, who has a lot of prem experience, and who is likely very easily available even on loan (Went to AC Milan for £5 million and can't get in the team currently).

If I were a betting man I would put a £100 on him joining us in January.

He doesn't know Borini from Liverpool

He will know people that do.
