You've got to be kidding me. Absolutely terrible that Shelvey doesn't score and it now heaps pressure on us this way.
-
Well, let's see. It may still prove to be a very valuable move. Even if it means he makes the difference in us winning a couple more games.
The keeper who we got on the last day has already got us a massive result, so I won't write this off as a complete disaster just yet. Still happy we got him over Sturridge, as any injury with that guy is so scary because he has such a long history of them.
-
Becoming clearer why Rafa wanted to just buy the Danish striker outright.
Not sure he was happy with any of the loan options as they were all such injury risks.

He can take however much time off, but if he comes back to this same team, nothing will change. It's the type of players he is being required to work with that's the problem, along with the desire for attacking football from Man Utd as a club/fans/former players etc.
That Chelsea team he put together when he first arrived was a powerful and hardworking team that could defend and then exploit you on the counter. That central midfield of Makelele, Essien and Lampard was perfectly balanced and ideal for his type of play. His wide men also worked hard for him defensively, and he never was happy with the likes of Joe Cole who wanted to do more going forward. it's the same reason he ended up clashing with Hazard, and the same reason he wasn't happy with Mkhitaryan. It's standard Mourinho man.
Given the complete freedom to get who he wants and play how he wants he would still be right up there challenging even Pep far more closely. Man Utd was never the right move for him IMO.

If Mourinho joins your club as manager, with any kind of remit to play attacking football, and with a squad with a ton of attacking talent, just forget about it. He will not produce.
If you are going to hire him and have any success just let him play his grind it out football man. You just know he's dying to start Fellaini every game in midfield ahead of Pogba, and Ashley Young in one of the wide positions ahead of Martial/Rashford/Mata.
It's not going to work out for him man. Especially with Pep right on his doorstep thrilling the masses with fantasy football and winning almost every game. Just makes him look even more inadequate. He will not last past next season.

Pogba the new scape goat for Jose I see. So cringe man.
-
Why are they taking short set pieces with all of their big centre backs up, and against such a short team?!
-
Should have brought Giroud on rather than Morata.
Better hold up and link up play.
-
Chelsea medical team are a joke.
Willian off for the 3rd time to sort out the bleeding.
-
Shocking ball by Alonso. Just crazy. Such a risky pass to make with his weaker foot.

John Percy:
'Pardew’s job is safe despite the head coach picking up only one league win since his appointment, though his methods and management are understood to be causing some friction within the squad.'
Pardew is so unbelievably bad man. Imagine how much all of these clubs continue to pay this man to mess up their clubs. It's beyond comprehension man

I think with Lukaku he's not only got the size but he's a really good athlete, in the sense that he moves very well and isn't stiff, like a lot of bigger guys can be. He is therefore usually able to get really good leverage on other bigger guys because of this.
-
Didn't one of those guys hire Pardew though? Or am I mistaken?
-
Sturridge man. My goodness.
I think after a few training sessions with Pardew and Carver, he's likely realised the reality of what he signed up for, and has decided to have the rest of the season off and not even bother
-
Captained Aguero too!
Came so close to going with Harry Kane.
I would have been fuming.
-
That was a huge penalty save man. My goodness.
Don't want to drop into that bottom three for anything!
-
Koscielny doesn't even jump to challenge the header, and his body position to start is terrible.
-
When you need a goal you don't shunt Aubameyang out to the wing like
Should have put Lacazette out there. He came on and kept drifting wide right anyway
Aubameyang would have taken at least one of those chances that fell to Lacazette I reckon. Poor decision from Wenger. I agree.
As for bringing on Iwobi for Mkhitaryan when needing a goal? Well that was just Farcical.
-
Wilshere man
Classic short man complex
-
A goal from this free kick would be brilliant
-
Lacazette man ... goodness me.
-
Lacazette man ... goodness me.
-
Lamela man ... goodness me.
