  1. Brilliant! Gives me a reason to watch more championship footy.

Needs to use this to get some experience playing regularly and get some maturity.

If he goes there and blows everyone away with his performances maybe he gets another chance with us going into next season once Joselu is flung from the club.

  2. I mean ... I am African and I can kind of understand what he is getting at. Can sometimes be very mercenary.

Sometimes they also don't do enough to gel with everyone in the team and form their cliques if you have a number of them from the same country, but that is generally typical of having a lot of people from the same place. If one is then not happy that will sow seeds of discontent.

I think the onus is really on the clubs to make sure everyone is forming relationships with each other by creating an environment that constantly encourages this. They are so lazy with this sort of thing though.

I am not even going to pretend to be offended by this. Crying racism on this is pretty silly IMO. They have signed a multitude of Africans over recent years. I mean they still have loads. They feel it is affecting the harmony in the team, and so told the agents they aren't looking to sign anymore right now, and that is a problem?!

I find this kind of thing annoying man.

  3. I’d try him as a No10

Very tempting man. I was thinking the same during the game.

Amongst the skill and pace, his maturity and decision making really surprised me. He's also pretty physical.

  4. If he goes there puts his head down and does well then maybe he gets another chance next season. I like this move a lot.

Otherwise it will at least allow us to get really good money for him if he does well there.

  5. I've thought it for a while and I'm just going to say it, he reminds me of Ben Arfa. There, I said it.

I think he could be a terror on the right cutting in and shooting. He came in form that position when he hit the post. Think we'll see that at some point.

  6. Looked good. It won’t take long to smear the Newcastle into him though. We will have him s**** in no time. It’s what we do best.

What an awful thing to say.

I really feel like this stuff gets said so often now that the universe can't help but agree and oblige.

    Terrible stuff.

We just need to say things like this to counteract all your constant fluff and flounce. We don’t all ride around on unicorns.

Honestly, I say that stuff most of the time just to try and counter the rank negativity on here. It physically pains me it is so bad at times.

  7. Here's the real kicker ... he is joint top scorer right?

So as bad as he's been, he's actually contributed to us getting results more than plenty others.

He should just be someone that comes off the bench really, and plays the odd game. There is far less pressure then and he'll do okay.

The real culprit in the grand scheme of things is actually Gayle, who has not even shown up at all this season, and has missed numerous chances also.

My anger is subsiding. Slimani will take his place and will do well for us. He'll play backup to him and will be far more suited to that role without complaint.

  9. So much said about this guy already.

From the beginning he oozed confidence and fearlessness. How many of our players can we say that about?

Even rubbed off on Dummet who started getting forward and linking with him quite well!

Has to stay fit after a debut like that. God please let that be the case.

  10. Burnley have beaten top teams this season, and we haven't been great at home.

It's not so much the result, but the nature of it, especially with Kenedy doing so well and the wave of optimism with Slimani coming in.

Let's be thankful that we have seemingly brought in a very good player that has got us a point already in Kenedy. We once again created numerous chances and should have a striker coming in that can convert them.

Better days ahead guys. Thank God we didn't lose.

You are really one of the only bright spots in the football section of the forum, man.

Thanks man. Just trying to stay positive.

Think Kenedy has really lifted the team and Slimani will too.

It was a heart wrenching result though, so can't be mad at people's reactions really.

After watching that performance I really think we'll be fine. Murphy and Kenedy have to start out wide from now on, with Slimani up top. Atsu was as much of a culprit as Joselu tonight IMO.

Burnley are 7th and though they are a disgusting specimen of football, they get results and I guarantee you their fans will be annoyed they didn't beat us tonight. We are just above the relegation zone, with a manager that is not being supported by the owner and a terrible record at home.

If Kenedy doesn't start tonight I think we lose this one easily. That was a huge call by Benitez. Just wish he had left out Atsu and Joselu also. He now has more options to do so though, so let's see.
