The guy ruining everything so far is of course Atsu. Dwells on the ball too much all the time.

Just realised Maddison is out. We are extremely fortunate that's the case. Might give us a bit more of a chance.

Think he would have taken the mick out of our two man midfield.

Back to basics 4-4-2!

Man Leicester move the ball around well, and the extra man in midfield is going to cause us problems I imagine. Could be very ugly.

I am happy for Muto and hope he at least does well, but I just can't see our midfield being effective, particularly as neither Longstaff or Hayden are quite good enough yet at distributing the ball consistently well in that area.

Just because we changed to 4-4-2 at the end of the Brighton game and managed to pressure them a bit more then, is no indication that this will work, particularly against a really good Leicester side.

Think we'll end up having to launch longer balls to Joelinton, which won't be pretty ... however, he has shown he can control the ball and bring others into play, and Muto seems a heady player that could very well take advantage of Joelinton's good link up play.

Makes for an interesting spectacle that's for sure. And Bruce can no longer blame 'Rafa's system' after today. Will be funny if it fails spectacularly I must say

I'm seriously a little confused here, a picture of his team mate as a child looks a bit like a character from a well known Spanish chocolate brand. Team mate responds and finds it funny.

Ki's not actually that good at all, we got him on a free from Swansea, he is however a serious upgrade on Shelvey.

He is in our team, and being on a free from Swansea has nothing to do with anything. He's the most intelligent and best passer of the ball in midfield in the whole squad.

He did bugger all when he came on.

Very harsh.

He held the ball up very well and found players in good positions, and also won at least two free kicks in very dangerous areas, which ultimately amounted to two horrific deliveries into the box.

Carroll is very useful man. With the way Bruce is handling injuries though, it will be a miracle if he stays fit.

Doesn't mix in a range of passes whatsoever. Whenever he gets it in space he is looking to play someone in from 50 yards every time. Hinders the team from getting any type of possession play that works the ball up the pitch methodically.

 

Now, the question is why is he doing that every time? Could it be an instruction from the manager? It's likely right? And so how terrifying and clueless is that from Bruce?!

 

We were saying the same thing about him under Rafa so no.

Fair enough. I genuinely can't remember it being this bad under Rafa, but perhaps that's down to the team looking so much worse in general.

Miggy will be infinitely better with Saint-Maximin in the team as well.

I must say, I will also give credit to Carroll man. The guy came on and gave the team a lift.

Actually held the ball up and got it to the players around him well. If he stays fit he will be useful.

There's pieces to work with on this team man, but the manager is just so goofy. No reason Shelvey should still be starting games. He is wretched, and negatively affects the team both going forward and defensively. It's laughable. Why hasn't the manager seen this yet?!

So we showed up for 16 minutes.

It looks like this might just come down to keeping Shelvey out of the team, and that might make a massive difference. Maybe. If we're lucky.

Saint-Maximin looks like a star. Fantastic energy and ability with the ball.

They said he was a dog kicking a balloon though ...
