  1. I kind of admire Townsend for having the guts to hold his hands up and come back, with all the scrutiny and some criticism that will come with it. Fair play. i won't hold it against him. He'll be lucky to be getting another chance really.

  2. I don’t have any problem continuing doing things in the way that we were doing. Each club has its own way to do things. The worse was always when the owner, or the chairman, or the president, were involved talking with players. That is the worst in my experience.

Rafa has dealt with some real crap man, particularly at Real. I think we'll be fine. I think he is quite flexible when it comes to recruitment. He'll work within whatever frame is provided, as long as he can get who he wants within the framework given to him.

  3. Not to mention the fact that Kaka likes him.

    This guy

I just find it hard to be as critical of him as others, considering we were owned by Mike Ashley and managed by Alan Pardew while he was tasked with providing good players.

One severely restricting his options right off the bat, and the other knowing nothing about the players being provided.

  4. Carr is a hugely negative influence - a failed coach, with an ego problem. If you read his son's autobiography, he does not come across well.

    What the heck?!

  5. It's not necessarily a bad thing, has to be said. Look at Sissoko and Gini. They were young enough to be of decent enough quality, but we were able to get very good value when they didn't really work out for us. I mean it's all a balance really.

We also got relegated mate [emoji38]

More to do with the joke managers really, rather than the quality of players we had on the whole.

  6. Allardyce and Pardew have found out this year that having better players doesn't automatically mean better results.

Odds are better players are more likely to be absolutely disgusted and sickened by both your embarrassing approaches to management, and so tune you both out sharpish.

    It's been class.
