The guy will look good alongside the likes of Perez, Mitro, Wijnaldum and Sissoko if he needs to step in for any of the forward players. He's athletic and mobile and genuinely works hard up front.
Who was he playing with last season anyway? I just remember him being up front alone with the rest of the team miles behind him. It was an absolute disgrace, and an unfortunate position to put a new striker in. The kind of thing that makes me wonder why anyone could ever see anything in Alan Pardew man. Laughable.

Think making the runs inwards from the left is even more difficult to pickup than if he was just coming in from behind the striker. It's a huge plus for us.

Steve McClaren has revealed that Cheick Tiote is in the box seat for more action in the Wear-Tyne derby this Sunday.The Ivory Coast international made his first Premier League start of 2015 in the 6-2 win over Norwich City.
He picked up a booking and was subbed at half-time, but McClaren is happy with what Tiote brought to the table.
And he feels he will benefit from a 45 minute run out against the Canaries.
McClaren said: “We are trying to get Cheick involved again because we think he can be a big player for us. He wasn’t going to last the game – it was his first game, he’s trained for two weeks.

Moussa you make me so mad. How can someone that can play this way, so often be so ineffective!
Pretty simple really, give him space and he can play like this but don't and he's ineffective which explains the inconsistent performances.
It's just who he is and always will be really, hopefully Wijnaldum, Mitrovic and Perez can help open things up for him a little bit.
Yeah, for sure. Mitro and Perez are so instrumental to building our forward play. It's why I despised Cisse so much. He was killing us.

LB is a tough one. Thing that might have to wait. Haidarra, Dummet and Mbabu will do.
The priorities have to be CB and DM, and then yes, another keeper on loan perhaps.

McClaren played a blinder with him.
To be fair to Mcclaren, now he's played the guy and seen what he can do, he hasn't messed him about.
Pardew would at this very moment in time be looking to ruin it for us, by playing Cisse up top with Mitrovic based on absolutely nothing.
Would have then justified it by blaming Perez for not making a tackle which would have stopped a goal from occurring 15 mins later. Classic bitch move.

I think we had a good window, we just had a lot of gaps to fill and didn't quite manage them all. REALLY hope we beat Sunderland so confidence can continue to rise. Then it'll be no problem bring Thauvin back in.
Yes, exactly. Shame we don't have a really good DM, as we could have then eventually slot Sissoko alongside, and Thauvin could be deployed on the right in time.
We really need to get a DM and CB in January.

I honestly think the dynamic of Mitro's hold up and Perez ability in tight spaces is massive.
Anyone else in the team around those two and the attributes they provide, is going to have a lot more chance to do their thing in good forward areas.
Just a matter of how best to fit others around those two now.

This guy will be fine. I'm quite confident of it. Can now take time to settle in.
Summer business is looking good. Mitro, Wijnaldum and Mbemba are major home runs IMO.

Well ... when you're constantly in shit positions with no support, and you're running around like a lunatic, and getting no consistent touches throughout the game, then I'd imagine you'd snatch at stuff on the rare occasion you get a glimpse. Particularly when you are at a new club, desperate to do well, and people are already claiming you are shit.
