Newcastle United vs Norwich City - Sunday 23/09/12 @ 3pm

Harper Anita Taylor Colo Santon Ben Arfa Tiote Cabaye Gutierez Cisse Ba Either that or 4-3-3, neither seem to really be doing the business at the mo. I think people are just out of form. Obviously Willy and Bigi in if Colo and Tiote dont make it. Got a feeling at least one of them will tho! Well Colo is definitley out and Tiote is back in training so you're probably right. -

f***ing hell, what a shambolic post this is. Actually infuriates me when i get reminded we still have fans like this clown making such rash judgements on a player who clearly has a lot of ability in his locker but came here and has struggled with a bad injury and his biggest task to date was to defend and control Leighton Baines which in fairness he did a pretty terrible job at but he was so out of his comfort zone he shouldn't have been given that task in the first place. He has slowly been making strides towards the first time and i think it's a matter of time before he starts getting a lot of minutes under his belt particularly at home when given an advanced role alongside Ben Arfa which will make a very potent attacking force and a pleasure to watch. How would you know he has lots of ability in his locker? He has been poor in all appearances to date, fair enough he hasnt made many but hasn't even shown glimpses of being a good winger for us. For whoever commented above, Ben Arfa had shown in his past, and shown glimpses of brilliance for us before he was fully fit so no I never doubted him. Urggh. Normally respect opinions and all that but fucking hell, go and watch another sport. -

If he goes back to basics it wont be a problem. Short little passes and keep things ticking over. The problem comes when he starts banging cross field balls and trying to become to influence the game in the wrong way. -
A win on Sunday and it will have been a good start to the season considering we've had Spurs, Chelski and Everton.

Ha ha, are you serious? Marveaux has shown no signs of talent since joining us. Won't cut it as a winger playing for a top 8 club. Fkn hell. The lad came back from a season out injured for a few games before getting injured for another season. You the type of lad that was screaming at HBA last year for being s**** when he first came back? Jonas offers nothing going forward, he is no threat. Playing him on the wing in a 442 against teams like Norwich isnt the reight decision imo. -
Totally agree. People seem to forget we played on Monday too. Three games in six day, you just cant play your first team. I'm spurised Taylor played to be honest but I suspect he took it easy as he could. I think in future games when its a Sunday/Thursday we'll see a slightly stronger team. Keep in mind Anita and Cisse were due to play last night too. HBA back from suspension, Tiote and Colo nearly back too. I dont think we'll such a weak first 11 again.

The idea is when you get to the knockouts, teams stop playing reserves and there's more prestige and money involved - also the away trips for fans tend to have a bit more glamour about them. Also, more exposure for the club generally. That's my view, anyway. I'm quite enjoying the group though. Maybe I'm just easier to please. Nope, some people are just miserable fuckers.

Pretty proud of them tonight tbh. Thought they done very well, second half reminded me of Atmromitos away in the second half. Shola was very unlucky not to score, bigi was great 9some potential this lad has), Amifi was indifferent but hasnt played much. Gosling for me, I keep waiting for him to impost himself and he has the odd decent 20 minute spell here and there but over 90 minutes he just doesnt do it for me. Overall, would have loved three points but the team we had out, we done well. Cant play that team against the French.

Aye, cant be bothered to worry about it again. If he goes, he goes. No one player bigger than the club etc etc

I really dont want to see Jonas on either flank tbh. Either play 433 or put Marv there. -

Yeah I can see that, maybe Cisse or Ba will start and Santon. Fergie and Tav would be risky imo. -
I think his performances have improved dramitically since he became a 20 minute sub. We often dont have to rely on him, so its easier not to get frustrated. But yeah, in general, he comes on for 20minutes and does very little wrong and when he does things right, like Monday, people love him for it.
