Didn't do much there tbh.

His link up play seemed to change dramatically after he'd scored. Prior to scoring when his back was to goal he was atrocious in both his touch and pass, but after the goal he actually started to take a decent touch and find his man. He seems to be a player whereby his confidence in his footballing ability is driven by whether he's scoring or not. When he first signed and was scoring everything, his overall play was fantastic - he looked like a complete striker, but whenever he's been on a goal drought he's looked like he can barely play the sport. If we provide him with chances I think we'll see an improvement in his overall play. One of the most worrying things with him though is his lack of movement these days. It's like he's decided that the balls not going to come so what's the point in making the run - so when a ball does come he's not there. Vicious cycle.

I personally thought Marveaux lacked drive when push came to shove. Whenever he picked it up he seemed to be full of intent but then the longer he spent on the ball the less belief he had in himself and lost all conviction. Prime example was when he ballooned that shot high and wide - his initial instinct got him to where he was before he shot, and then he seemed to think himself into panicking. He did it with a couple of passes that never made it through as well. I do like Marveaux, but it's his 3rd season now and he's still only looking like he "could be a good player". Starting to think there's something missing with him unfortunately.

Cisse is shocking with his back to goal, his passes go everywhere but to the feet of a team mate.

People are afraid to close him down for obvious reasons. If he can get a good distribution game going he'll be an asset. He's very hit and miss with his end product, but he's got talent.
