I don't think I've ever felt so helpless as a Newcastle fan as I am now. At least usually when things are bad there's the thought that a sacking could solve things. We've seemingly got the choice of sticking with an absolutely woeful manager or replacing him with someone equally as bad. Horrible, horrible time to be a Newcastle fan, feels like the soul has been ripped out of the club.

The guy's a terminal disease on a professional footballer.
  3. Getting a shot on target is going to be this years "scoring from a set penis".
  4. Took a straight red worthy tackle and a kick in the ribs, come on now
  5. Remember Mendieta scoring one for Valencia too.
  6. Speaking of trying to emulate goals, I always used to try and copy that Ginola goal against Ferencvaros. Outrageous.
  7. Can tell things are bad for us at the moment, nostalgic threads popping up everywhere
  8. Shearer. Even though I'm not from the area it felt like it was more than just a goal when he scored. When there was a goal update I always wanted it to be him that scored. Only two other players gave me that feeling and both were very shortlived.
  9. Say's a lot about what bringing players to Newcastle does to a player. Debuchy, along with a load of other members of our squad are full internationals for good nations, yet after a while being here they look like they'd struggle to cut it in the Championship. I have seen more than enough of Debuchy to suggest that he is a good player, however he has had a couple of poor performances (Man City being the worst) and needs to be less aggressive in and around our box. That being said, I think he's also been on the harsh end of a penalty decision or two. Mbiwa is another example to a less extreme extent; people on here genuinely laughed at even the suggestion he would consider signing for us, whereas now half the forum is undecided on who is better out of him and Taylor. These internationals can't all be shite players, and (stating the obvious here), I'm sure they'd improve dramatically the moment 1) they go to another club or 2) we sack Pardew off. Edit: Add Sissoko (and no doubt others) to that too. He was a beast in his first few games - look at him now.

Pardew's negative talk doesn't help either, I'd love to have a manager that wasn't afraid of failure and said "I've got a class set of players here", as it would rub off on the players.

I think confidence is a major issue as well to be honest. On Saturday it looked like a lot of the players had no belief that what they were trying to was going to work. To me it looked like they had already decided they were going to lose before the game started.
