I just can't bring myself to doubt KK, the man has earned the right to a few bad results over the years - a hundred times over. The joy he brought to us the last time around might never be seen again, we can only thank him for that. And it's fucking great to know we have a positive manager in charge, who knows we like to attack and loves it as much as we do. Even if we don't win anything with Kev, we know the guy is 100% positive, and his enthusiasm is bound to be passed on to the players. He'll get the spark back, no doubt in my mind. We might not win anything in the process, but I'm certainly going to enjoy it more than having any one of Sam, Hughes, Redknapp et al in charge.

Aye, true - I'm going to be back up home for the Reading game as well which will be great if we beat Fulham, a bit nervy if not!
-
Relegation - will we or won't we? *NO FIXTURE LISTS PLEASE*

7 points from the drop sounds like winning the Champions League at the moment, I'd be that relieved! -
I decided not to listen last night, but I ended up checking the score every two minutes so I tuned in just before half time. The radio is fucking terrible when the commentators voice goes up but you don't know what's happening! Not sure I can take another few weeks of this! Let's hope we win a couple and put some space between us and the bottom. On a positive note, when was the last time the end of the season was this exciting?!
-
People were getting too close to the truth about the clause, so Smudger had to be dropped to throw them off the scent!
-
I can see why Viduka is persevered with though, I mean he can produce a goal out of nothing at times... just his fitness/mobility is more like a tortoise than a footballer. Yep, Carroll is obv inexperienced, not sure whether now is the time to take a chance on him. Might be worth 20 mins when Duke is knackered though.
-
I wouldn't be disappointed to see Carroll given a go there, off the bench at least - he can move about.
-
Aye, sure I saw that as well. I do love Oba though, so important he is back now.
-
Maybe we all should pretend that going down would be positive, so if it happens we won't all have to jump off the Tyne Bridge?
-
Plenty of positives to take, first time we have come from behind for AGES. Nice to see we were pegging them back in the second half and keeping the pressure on. The Martins sub is easy to have a go at but I can see what KK was thinking after our last-minute defeat to Blackburn. Keep the shape, don't commi too much forward at the end. I was suicidal after the Brum goal, but after the whole game I feel a bit better about us staying up. Question is, can the heart take another few weeks of this?
-
Definitely the Owen one. Where I fall down is being too optimistic and refusing to see the reality - for example in hindsight it's obvious that Smith is fucking awful and Duff was past his best... but at the time I so wanted to believe they were great signings!
-
We have created quite a few chances recently, esp against Blackburn, so let's hope Owen finally starts sticking them away. I'm just going to be positive from now until the end of the match, howay the lads!
-
Thing is, even though I'm feeling physically sick about the prospect of losing this one, it is very winnable and if we do it will give everyone a big lift. Just hoping the lads can pull something off to get any kind of points on the board.

Yeah, but how many Bellamys, Roberts and Dyers have we got either? Talented players who couldn't give a stuff about the club. I would give a lot for a couple of those right now, and potentially Zog is one of them.
-
Mate, there isn't any other logical explanation! I can't think of a reason either, but I can't believe there can be a clause like that!
-
This is pretty much what I reckon, fans tend to rate commitment/loyalty far too highly and don't realise that talent is really the biggest factor in success. Also, we have the problem that our most loyal players are also generally our worst!
-
I'd say our problems are more down to the shattered confidence than any lack of commitment and/or loyalty. Yes, our players aren't dyed-in-the-wool Geordies and most probably don't 'love' the club, but I bet with a few wins behind them and a few new additions they would be performing 10 times better. We wouldn't be raising this issue if we were doing well.
-
I really don't know what to do with myself tonight, not sure I can even listen to this one! :-[
-
Emre and Martins playing key parts in goals!
-
It's a bit obscene as well to be honest, Drogba throwing his money about like that when ordinary fans are scraping the money to buy a shirt for their kids.
-
Currently I'm terrified, I'm nearly always optimistic when it comes to football but now dealing with the very real possibility that we will be playing in the championship next season. I do see improvements in the performances though, and I think we can do it if we take points of the other strugglers we are facing next. To be honest, I'm trying not to think about it...
-
I reckon if we stay up it's a fresh start for everyone, including KK. And if we go down, well that speaks for itself, if KK can't get us to finish about one out of Reading, Bolton, Mackems, Wigan and Birmingham then I'm not sure I'll be able to stay behind him for long

Is this friend an expert on the Senegal national squad, or just a cock?
-
Yep, I didn't mean milk specifically, or even Tesco! What I was saying was that the club is the business and we are the customers... no ownership is implied.
-
How can you respect a cunt like that? He stands for everything I hate about the game right now! Can't wait until he fucks off, then see the rats desert the sinking ship. I don't lilke him much as a person either, but you can't argue with what he's acheived. And if Man Utd do decline when he retires, that will only prove how pivotal he was to their success.
