  1. What a depressing day yesterday was,

Ignoring the match because thats been covered but it looked to me in the pub before the match that our young away followers are getting worse.

Went in the Witton, went for a piss and there was 6 of them in a queue for the cubicle in the toilet...snorting away they were, obvious to see and bloody hear.

Then there they were outside in the beer marquee thing chucking their pints everywhere and generally behaving like fucking idiots.

I love a good craic at the away games as much as any but these lot really let us down, it's been like this the last couple of seasons now, getting progressively worse. Luckily where I was stood in the ground the atmosphere was alright and with some decent lads.

Can see why people are put off following us away...and why other fans think we're a bunch of twats.

Noticed our fans have been getting worse like.  Wonder if it's related to the wider driving down of standards at the club, if you don't have a club you can be proud of any more why care about the impression you make while following it.

Possibly. It only seems to be the young'uns that act like tossers though, don't get me wrong i've seen some older folk piss about but by and large its the younger lads. Probably a by product of society in general at the moment I suppose.

Problem is you cant have a word with them at the match about it otherwise its all 'We're here to support the club, fuck off if you don't like it etc etc', thing is with most of them they're so fucked up before the match they either don;t see any of it or end up getting chucked out anyway

There was a group on the train back yesterday who were making idiots of themselves as well. Fair enough they're pissed and having a sing, but the carriage was full of people and their language was appalling. The ring leader was this fat older guy in a guy who started shouting obscenities at the conductor and shouting lewd comments to a woman in the carriage. Really sad individuals.

This has been one of the reasons why i've reduced the number of away games i go to, some of our fans are tragic.  It does in the most part seem to be kids who act like utter tossers, last time i got one of the busses down it was packed with them.  24 cans for a 4 hour bus trip, wey aye.

  2. On the plus side though, the Liverpool fans are proper p*ssed off with us.

    Why ?

Think it was something to do with what our fans were singing. Had a look on red and white kop and they were foaming, the usual 'hope Ashley stays and they fall down the leagues and die forever etc'.

Did i hear " blue moon " at one point second half  ;D

It was embarrassing in The Arkle before the game, the teenage contingent singing Demba, Demba Ba and loads of other s****. Liverpool fans didn't seem too happy IMO.

I didn't see it myself but my mate said that some lads were throwing eggs at the Hillsbrough shrine.

    What a load of bollocks.

There was no bother after the match at all,  just our lot walking out singing we're s*** and we know we are.

I didn't say there was bother after the match?  As for the eggs part, I can't think of a reason why the lad would lie but as I said I didn't see it myself.

  4. Me and my mates just got down to Southport where we are staying till Monday, sun is shining, beers in hand. Can't wait to see the banners at the game!

    Those were the days!

Thought the same after I wrote it, tis my last game as a season ticket holder, I can't actually believe it's came to this however I can't stand what's happening to our club any longer.

I've had my ticket for 10 years now, saying goodbye to the people I sit beside was particularly hard.

  5. "Arsenal on good form, shame first goal, not a foul. Tough for us, tried to offer a fret, looked like we was coping well. Offside mentioned. Second half good character. Played okay second half. Manager of newcastle lost 6 on bounce. Big picture is the summer. Finish in the top ten. Pressure on this little run. On Saturday be up for it, hopefully get a win. Fans expect sometimes things we can't deliver. About focusing on everyday, recruitment for the summer. Longs term opportunity for myself :anguish:. Wants fans onside Saturday"

    Holy fuck!

  6. Why would Moyes want to come here? Even at Everton he was on big wages (that Ashley wouldn't match) and had full control of everything throughout the club.

His reputation has taken a beating, the top teams wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. If it's between us, Villa, West Ham, Norwich etc then I'd say there's a chance.

Thats the size of it from what they were saying, they said that it was rumoured Tottenham were in for him but in reality they showed no interest.

what else were they saying mate? has he been contacted etc?

They didn't go so far as to say that but they did say that they expect to see a change and it would be Moyes job if he wanted it.  They also picked up on the Germany thing but said that they could not see that happening.

The only argument against that they said was that it might be to soon for him, it will spend on how he recovers from his sacking.

  8. KK made us proud of this club. Something that can't be said now. It's almost embarrassing wearing anything NUFC related these days.

If someone saves us from this lot in charge i'd love him to be given a background role.

I agree. We are a complete embarrassment. Owned and operated by a bunch of Cockney Chavs like some kind of East End market stall.

I was in St James for a meeting today, the whole place feels cheap and nasty.  Horrible cups and pictures for sale everywhere and just a general underwhelmed feeling when going into the various suites.

  9. We dont want to TRY and get into europe, so our aim is 10th to 8th in the league...We dont want to have a go in either cups as this could damage our prem status...

We dont play attractive football and we no longer score goals.

Why should people turn up to watch that ??

    Absolutely pointless football club.

Not a true fan, support the team not the regime, thick and thin yackety smackety blah blah blah

My mates have gone this way, they'd still turn up even if Ashley was pissing on them as they walked through the turnstiles.

@GFN_France: Tonight, the viewers can hear everything the referee is saying thanks to French television's on board microphone. Groundbreaking. #CdL

    Must be a new thing

Might tune just to hear this

For some reason it's gone off man. Annoying. I thought it was a good touch eve though I couldn't understand most of it

Aye seems it, not sure it would work in footy with all the disrespect towards refs though. Imagine the comments picked up. I mean even refs this season have been accused of disrespecting the players

Didn't English football trial this years ago, i seem to remember Tony Adams calling Dermot Gallagher a cheat.

    Edit, Elleray.

Yup, gazed in disbelief when he said that, what a tool.

He's missing the point that his own idiocy got him where he was!!  If thats his belief about the goal then technically speaking he is to blame for it.
