1. Ashley Young is currently in a spell very much like that which Agbonlahor had the second half of last season. His crosses are consistently two feet too high.
2. That's going to be the ringstinger to end all ringstingers when he tries to pass it out the other end.
3. My memories of going to places like Bramhall Lane and Hillsborough almost entirely consist of the SYP going out of their way into provoking trouble. Cunts up there with the WMP. (20 years plus ago, mind)
4. Oh, and I would take Beckham. He offers something, even now. Certainly more than taking SWP would.
5. Ashley Young has not played even a half decent game since he got sent off at Sunderland last year, so pretty much 7 or 8 months ago. He needs to really up his game between now and the end of the season to have a sniff. I would have Milner ahead of him in the squad at the moment, and by a long way.
6. I know, we're really happy you eventually sold him to us. Oh *wink*
7. That was surely an own goal?
8. He's foreign and talented. It was difficult enough for O'Neill to buy him never mind play him. Almost but not quite right. He has no objection to foreign players, it is just foreign players playing outside the UK he can't manage.
9. He's fallen foul of Martin's Inexplcable Law of Full Backs which states that the most bizarre selection decisions he makes - and there are lots - will ALWAYS involve a dedicated full back losing ghis place to someone else.
10. Milner will be in trouble when Downing gets fit that's for sure. Unless MON decides to play Downing through the middle alongside Petrov, which he might do I guess. Ashley Young is the one who will be in trouble, before Milner. He hasn't had a good game for us since he got sent off at Sunderland last season. What was with his hobbling the other day? Stood about looking like he taken a bullet to the shin and then would sprint at full whack for a minute before repeating. He's carrying a knock, in fairness to him. He's a gigantic falling-over fanny, though.
11. Collins and Dunne have been absolutely excellent for us all season. When they signed, I was down in the dumps and miserable about it, but i have to say, they've been great. Bellamy and Dunne were the best two players on the pitch on Monday night, by a country mile.

13. I had a foot long Italian BMT from Subway today. Two observations. 1. It was very big. 2. It was packed full of low grade meat. It was bought from a Birmingham city centre branch of Subway, served to me by a rather brusque Eastern European bloke ('you want salad? what salad? what sauce *waves hand dismissively at sauces* what sauce?') and there were no football based adverts outside or in.
14. If Bellamy hadn't already legged it over to the supporter to have a pop at him, he wouldn't have been able to spit at him. He's an absolute fucking idiot, there is no excuse whatsoever for that kind of thing.
15. Portsmouth are absolutely terrible. Relegation certs.
16. Wrestle each other to the ground? Sounds hilarious! Haha, can't stop laughing at the thought of this, Mo'n just on a press interview- "I can't remember being on the ground wrestling with him" looks like he battered him tbh. Reo Coker isn't back in training till Monday! I don't mean to make a vaguely racist, sweeping generalisation **, but I've met plenty of people from Northern Ireland, and every single one of them has been hard as fucking nails and with a very, very short fuse. ** obviously, that disclaimer means that's exactly what i am about to do.
17. Yakubu, Fellaini, and the Russian have cost at least 35 million British pounds sterling by themselves. He's had funds. Net spend is about £4m a year iirc. I think over the last couple of years we've broke roughly even. He's had fuck all funds from our awful board. Moyes's record is very, very good indeed. MON could do with taking a leaf out of his book. Spending 2004 - 9, unformatted columns are purchased, sold, net, per season.
1 Manchester City £292,750,000 £72,900,000 £219,850,000 £36,641,667 2 Chelsea £267,950,000 £123,300,000 £144,650,000 £24,108,333 3 Liverpool £247,730,000 £134,080,000 £113,650,000 £18,941,667 4 Aston Villa £131,200,000 £37,255,000 £93,945,000 £15,657,500 5 Tottenham £249,000,000 £163,550,000 £85,450,000 £14,241,667 6 Sunderland £154,080,000 £88,900,000 £65,180,000 £10,863,333 9 Manchester United £188,650,000 £161,050,000 £27,600,000 £4,600,000 7 Everton £102,100,500 £78,200,000 £23,900,500 £3,983,417 8 West Ham £94,145,000 £71,325,000 £22,820,000 £3,803,333 10 Newcastle £120,750,000 £106,400,000 £14,350,000 £2,391,667 12 Middlesbrough £62,200,000 £54,500,000 £7,700,000 £1,283,333 11 Blackburn Rovers £49,052,000 £57,290,000 -£8,238,000 -£1,373,000 13 Portsmouth £92,200,000 £107,240,000 -£15,040,000 -£2,506,667 14 Arsenal £112,050,000 £138,320,000 -£26,270,000 -£4,378,333 Leeds United £5,900,000 £13,050,000 -£7,150,000 -£1,191,667

Marlon Harewood

Reo-Coker sent home after having a brawl on the training pitch with MON. I reckon MON will want him out the way asap, could be worth a loan deal.
19. True enough. I don't see what he does for us given the way we play, but I can see what he does for England. The fact is that Milner is pretty much universally rated by Villa fans and by the England manager, hence my puzzlement at "hur hur, Albrighton can't be much cop if he's being kept out of the team by James Milner", which seems a twisted logic.
20. So, to summarise, you're writing off a young player, on the basis that he's being kept out of our team by another young player, who was also widely written off here, but has since gone on to be a full international and lauded by Fabio Capello. There's the irony. I also thought he did well for you for decent spells, too, but hey-ho, it doesn't really matter, I'm interested in what he does for us, and so far it must have been half decent for him to get a full call up.
21. The irony in having a sneer at a player when, actually, he is highly valued by Capello, and turns out he was so when you had him yourself the year before (and were largely slagging him off at the time). I think that shows the folly of your post suggesting that yes, a young player must be not up to much, what with him being kept out of our team by a player the manager of England rates very highly indeed, and who a lot of people here didnt think was good enough for you when you had him, either.
22. He's 19, going on loan to Forest and is being kept out the Villa team by James Milner. I bet he won't be that good. James "Recently picked, and played, by Capello" Milner, that one? Also known as James "The future of England, says Fabio Capello" Milner? The lad might as well give up now and see if he can get a job at Gamestation or somewhere, then. Capello said that about Milner? I've highlighted the line below, too, for irony.
23. Is Harry Forrester not doing much yet? Seems to have dipped in visibility recently. Rumours last year of him becoming a bit of a Billy Big Bollocks and liking the booze a little too much.
24. True. But he's been excellent for us for a long while up until that match, so I'll forgive him a poor game.
