  1. Convenient excuse for cash strapped rangers to flog two of their higher valued players me thinks

I concur.  The same manager put up with worse for a long time with Gascoigne.

Is that not potentially daft though as you are likely to get smaller fee's as the two players are up for sale over a disciplinary matter.

It'll be a bit of a balancing act for Smith i'd imagine.  We all know what happened to the last manager who tried to undermine Ferguson.  Smith needs the money but he also needs something to offer the fans as a reason for selling that isn't "we're pure skint" to avoid an insurrection.

Not being funny here, but Walter is far bigger to Rangers than Ferguson. The majority of the Rangers fans I have spoken to about this (granted they are mainly family) are in complete agreement with the pair being dropped. They humiliated not only Rangers but the country as well, and deserve to be punished for it. Barry Ferguson sometimes thinks that he is bigger than Rangers but he is mistaken.

Boys like Ferguson, Boyd and McGregor behave as they do because they think they can get any manager sacked.  They don't like Burley and I think it's been a case of "we got rid of Le Guen and we'll get rid of you aswell".  David Murray has a lot to answer for.

  3. The Boys Of The Old Brigade got a hearty rendition at the Utd v Celtic game today.  Good to see it only takes a couple of soldiers to be murdered for that lot to start romanticising terrorism again.  Fucking spastics.

Good entertaining match though - most of the games between us this season have been.

  4. Wonder if the final will still be held there.

I would imagine so.  After seeing what kicked off there in the stadium at half-time during the derby in November (what happened outside the stadium beforehand was even worse) i'd say it's gonna take somebody to be killed for UEFA to strip them of the final.  I've never seen violence like it at a football match.

  5. Fuck them.  I hope they rot.  They treated Paul Sturrock disgracefully because of that little upstart James Beattie who, to my recollection, still hasn't played in a World Cup, still hasn't played in a UEFA Cup Final, still hasn't won his own domestic league title and still hasn't played in a European Cup semi-final.  Couldn't lace Sturrocks boots.  Cunt.

  6. Valencia striker David Villa's agent will fly to England this week to seal a £52m January move to Manchester City. (News of the World)

That'll be the same David Villa who opted to stay at Valencia during the summer on the basis that "money isn't everything".

  7. It won't be Strachan.  He's not Sunderland-minded.

What, f***ed up in the head, you mean?

    Aye, probably.

More a reference to the fact that most Celtic fans want Strachan out because he's not "Celtic-minded".

Translation - most Celtic fans want him out because he's not Roman Catholic.

They'd be creaming their knickers if Keane got the job.  It would be like O'Neill all over again.  O'Neill got away with Rangers winning the treble because he was "Celtic-minded".  Strachan's won three titles on the trot and he still can't win over the bigots.

  8. Never any danger of him leaving Real, certainly not to Man City.

Boys like him and Raul could retire right now if they wanted to.  I'm sure that money ceased to be their motivation quite some time ago.  They'll be at Real until they retire and they'll probably take on ambassadorial positions at the club thereafter.

It's about prestige for those guys.

  9. Pity about the result.  We missed enough chances to win about five games but that's life.  We won't be playing in Serie B next season, they might.

Some fuckin fighting though.  I've never seen violence like that in my life.  We walked right into a riot on our way to the stadium.  Ten arrested and 30 police hospitalised.  It was fuckin mental.

Here's a wee clip from when the teams ran out -
