  1. I'd be very surprised if Rafa went to Everton. He is very media savvy so I think he is just using the "talks" to keep his name high profile. I doubt if either party is serious about the appointment happening. One thing is for sure though, Evertonians are almost unanimously opposed to it. If he wants a long term project he'd be looking at the wrong club IMO.
  2. I thought it was quite arty actually. Reminded me of when I did my GCSE in photography many years ago.
  3. Like I say, I believe that at least 95% of his tweeted photos over the last 10 months have had bugger all to do with NUFC. But I just feel there is something in this one, lol. He knows that his twitter audience is NUFC fans and that everything he posts is analysed. He can't be so unprofessional as to go leaking info left, right and centre so he drops a bit of info in just now and again.
  4. The place is he looking at is called Hixon Green, and it's on the corner of Medina Villas & Church Road, in Hove. Do a Google Maps search of Hixon Green, Hove. If you look at the photo, he also included the reflection of the street sign for Medina Villas (next to his right arm).
  5. By the way, the list on the window of those empty premises in De Marco's tweet says "Now Recruiting". And below it, if I'm not mistaken, is the word "manager".
  6. Yeah, saw that one too. The barrier to overseas investment is down, perhaps? Friday's was the big one for me though. The message I took from it was "waiting for the green light". Now, people can scoff, and I'm not saying that it means it's definitely happening, but I'd say an agreement of some kind could be on offer, mainly from Ashley's side. Sign it to make the CAT go away? De Marco's body language and facial expression is that of someone steadfastly focused on waiting for something to happen. Resting back, arms folded, shirt cuff pulled back to reveal his watch. And he is staring intensely at the word "green". All to a backdrop of traffic lights, all on green. On his right is a table with a watch and a pen. He was basically saying an agreement is on the table waiting to be signed off, but there is a time constraint to getting that deal done before things get ugly. And that deadline is the day before before arbitration starts, because if that goes ahead then so does the CAT, if the jurisdiction verdict allows it. Oh yeah, and the street is Medina Villas. You know, THAT Medina. In Saudi Arabia. Where any google search of the name brings up an image of the Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, a mosque with a massive green dome.
  7. I do agree that most of his stuff has nowt to do with the takeover but I do think he has craftily interspersed a few that definitely were. Friday's being one of them.
  8. Similar here. And I don't buy for a second that the noises coming from Ashley's camp are to appease the fans or put pressure on the PL. For a start, we have known for a very long time that he doesn't give a fuck what we think. And secondly, the noises being leaked are more likely to antagonise the PL and make them even more obstinate. No, he's leaking the news because he really believes he has them over a barrel. Whether or not he is delusional in that thought process, we shall soon find out.
  9. I'd rather it didn't kick off at all tbh. I'm clinging to the idea that a deal is in the offing so that any legal shenannigans can be avoided.
  10. With all of these rumours, and De Marco's weekend tweets, I am getting dangerously close to moving away from being a 30/70 pessimist, into a 55/45 optimist. Lord, help me.
  11. Look for another job, as in "Get your agent to find you a new club because when the new owners come in the first thing they will do is sack you and get Rafa in".
  12. That De Marco tweet on Friday was 100% takeover related IMO. Only trouble is I'm not exactly certain what the message was, as there are a few ways in which that "message" can be translated, lol.
  13. Or the watch and pen placed on the table on the left hand side. The watch is black and white. Clearly telling us a timetable has been set for signing a deal.
  14. It was the amount in damages Ashley is claiming. Judge denied them as it involved commercially sensitive information.
  15. You think? I reckon it's his most blatant yet. Staring at the word "Green". Outside a place called Hixon Green which just happens to be on a street called Medina Villas.... Medina - Wikipedia Or maybe I just need to log off for the weekend.
  16. De Marco is staring at the word "Green" here, the little tease.

I've seen them both posting in the NUFC thread in the past so I'm not sure about that. They are certainly equally as unhinged though Exile might be sitting out a ban as he did dare a NUFC fan to report him to the mods for telling said NUFC fan to fuck off.
  18. It doesnt have to have gone ahead or be close to the date of going ahead. All it might take is for the PL to know it is definitely going ahead for them to quickly do a deal. Current estimates suggest that we will know the jurisdiction result by the end of the month....which is just before arbitration is due to start.
  19. Because they might be waiting to see if the CAT goes ahead. If it does, then they might throw the towel in before arbitration, do a deal with Ashley, and use the fact that Saudi is off the naughty list as their reasoning for passing it to BEin and the dirty six.
  20. You dont know that for sure. For all we know it might yet play a part in ensuring arbitration might not happen at all.
  21. The PL not seeing Saudi as a piracy threat anymore is unremarkable? I'd strongly disagee with that.
  22. His "OFFICIAL" triumphalist post today was simply about how it was a victory for BEin in the face of a Saudi competitor who had more money. It was a glaring little dig at the Saudis. If you don't see it that way then that's up to you. Yesterday was a major piece of good news for NUFC fans, and it felt really significant. That's not how Jacobs reported on it though. It came across as a quite grudging acknowledgement of a piece of positivity for NUFC fans. Again, if you don't see it that way then that's up to you. And yeah, now that he has presented himself as "Mr Balanced", I am watching him like a hawk.
  23. Of course, that's why I have commented on it. That's the point though. He didnt "champion" the story in the same manner he did with today's. He could have broke the story in manner that said "this is positve news for NUFC fans'. He didn't though, he retweeted it with a "see, I told you piracy was an important factor" point-scoring vibe.
  24. That's the thing though. It was a significant event in the whole saga and he didnt make any announcement of it all. Instead, he referenced the story to enable him to have a dig at a section of NUFC's support.
  25. Anything Saudi v Qatar is takeover related, in the current environment. Jacobs himself knows this and has used it to raise his profile. That's not especially a criticism of him though. His reaction to yesterday's news, regarding Saudi being taken off the naughty list, was noticeably muted. For someone who claims to just be reporting the story he just seemed to spend the time scoring cheap points against some of NUFC's support.
