the fuck are you talking about? there's been some temporary shit put in place cause they've shat themselves, the actual rules haven't been decided on yet and nufc will be part of drawing them up
-
Again, you don't know this. I share your skepticism but nothing is fact yet. Once again I'll repeat if the end product is anything like Edwards suggested it'll be fine, if it's not I would imagine it'll face a legal challenge.

You have no idea what the rules will be, calm down.

afaik they haven't voted for anything yet, they've only voted to stop us doing anything for the time being the details beyond the next few weeks need to be ironed out and we're a part of the process

It's such a key thing to get right at this point and overly complicated by the prospect of relegation. Quite a balance as they won't want to sign a load of shite they'll need to get rid of immediately (inc. manager) but will also need to bring in players that can successfully keep us up and contribute down the line. I'll be very disappointed if we don't hear something before Brighton personally, however, that really feels like enough time. -

I suppose if the delay points to one thing it might be that they're looking at getting a medium-long term appointment in rather than a stop-gap just to keep us up. That being the case you're probably talking a lot of discussions about plans, targets for January and budgets and whatnot so it's natural it would take time. I'll be worried if we end up with fucking Wilder or something at the end of it all. EDIT: may be a lot of discussions going on with other teams about approaches and such as well. -
Thing I saw was £60m from one of Usmanov's companies I think but it didn't specifically mention the training ground. Doesn't matter like just wondered. It was a while ago as well, 2017 I think.
-
Do you have a source for this cause the first time you mentioned it I couldn't find it. I did find some record of them getting deals through companies Moshiri was linked with though but not that specific thing. Wider point it was Ashley taking the PL to court as an outgoing owner/member of the league, I think the new ownership taking them to court will be the last thing they want even if they know they'd win, which they surely would.
-
Be a slow process though as they're always multiple year deals obvs Anyway idk if Edwards knows anything or not but that idea a lot fairer than just shitting on us specifically
-
i saw edwards commenting on this and he was of the opinion that "market value" would be whatever the top deal in the league is +10%, or something along those lines i've no idea if he's right but if that's the proposal then i've no issue with it at all, it'll be a defacto cap for the richer clubs anyway

ryan reynolds deadpooling it during a live interview about wrexham

who knows the price i guess, especially considering we'll have Liberal Guilt Tax to add on but if you could get both for fiddy mil then it'd be outstanding business
-
We'd be insane not to aim for 2 high end loans and 2 permanent signings minimum. Lingaard & Tarkowski look like two very good bets to me given their contracts are up, if you can get them for £20m or so each that's very good business imo.

Aren't the Brit side of it all from inherited wealth and the Saudi's have more oil money than sense I mean I agree they'll put things in place and the club will no doubt now be professionally run but don't delude yourself that they're not gonna some bad footballing decisions along the way because they are, and they will. -
Agree to an extent. As someone else said if they bring in a better DM and play Willock with him I think you're good. Even Hayden could make that work to the end of the season imo. I very much doubt they'll be selling anyway, sounds like bullshit.

You don't know this yet. The failure to success ratio in football decision-making is heavily skewed towards the shit in my experience. Granted they'll probably have the money to fix mistakes but don't just assume everything is going to be gravy from now on. -

I hate exceptionalism in all it's forms personally, football and otherwise. But with specific reference to football the only exception are the "big 6" or whatever that are treated differently from everyone in the media. We're not some special case. The contrast between Bruce & OGS mere days apart was an absolute joke but it's not because we're Newcastle, it's because we're not part of the group they want to succeed or who they deem worthy of success. Could equally have been Brighton or anyone.
