  1. Man U will be fine and will inevitably compete at the top again when they get a good manager and fix their transfer policy. The rules are rigged in their favour so it’s not like anyone outside the ESL clubs is going to surpass them in the medium to long term and really push them down the table, no matter how well the clubs are run.

  2. Everything to do with Man U turns into some Love Island Paul Danan turbo shite drama. For all their excitement, they’re still going to have that mediocrity Ten Haag running the team for the foreseeable.

I would sacrifice compensation for making him go on gardening leave for a year.

  3. Not sure I’ve ever heard of a footballer doing his pec, but I suppose if anyone could manage it it would be Wilson. I was arguing in the summer that he was one to keep, I was wrong.

  4. I don’t have any real ambitions of competing with the ESL clubs in the long run, the sport is rigged to prevent that sort of chaos. I’m mainly in it for the odd cup run and some entertaining games. Basically the same as before the takeover, except those things are more likely now.

Man U will be “back” eventually, but not in the short term. I think their current manager is quite poor and he’ll probably still be there next season.

  5. Really couldn’t care less, when he arrived the main thing I wanted was for him to be a Brighton style bargain generator, and he was not that. Who knows what, if anything, he’s actually done behind the scenes.

Hopefully we made a profit and can find a replacement that is committed to the job rather than a job hopper.

  6. The problem is the market has been crazy, being a solid premier league player is now enough to demand tens of millions. It’s not just our fans that think we deserve big transfer fees, it’s everyone, because we’re aware of the money it would take to replace these guys.

This summer is going to be different because of FFP, there will be fewer transfers, rather than lower fees, IMO. Teams will look to hold on to what they’ve got, assuming it will be back to normal the following summer. With regards to Joelinton, our choices will be to sign him up (which I think we will) or let him go for much less than anyone would want. I doubt there will even be money in the market for Bruno if we were interested in selling.

  7. Lloyd Kelly makes some sense, especially given the clear out of squad players we’ll hopefully have in the summer. Billing looked talented as a young player but he never really improved. Now he’s just a 27 year old bench player at Bournemouth. Not for me.

  8. He’s going to end with a reputation as a  massive liability, which will be a shame considering how well he’s done for us previously.

  9. We could introduce a system of a different coloured card for each type of infraction. This would help the spectator with any confusion over what the ref has blown his whistle for. Blue for verbals, purple for shirt pulling, grey for handball, etc.

  10. I’m not particularly worried about this, it’s normal to have high demands at the start of a negotiation. I expect in the end he’ll stay and everyone will be happy.
