Never heard of Phil Giles before yesterday but he sounds exiting. Seems well educated and from the area as I understand it. Have done a good job at Brentford for many years. Doesn't seem to jump between jobs every second year as everybody does theese years.

Exactly, and why should it be better to sell a homegrown player? It should be more value to keep the homegrown players. FFP is only good for the clubs who were rich before it was introduced. For other clubs it's just a thing that makes it harder and almost impossible to compete.

Probably the post of the year there, Paulo! Would be extremly sad if we gave Howe the sack. Hope he will be here for many years to come. We can't expect to win every game. It will be ups and downs, but I'm sure with Eddie in charge we will have more ups than downs. And most important a manager that will compete every day and always try to make us better. If we have to pay £40M + £7M in a loan fee for Philips I rather think we should buy 2 young players(1 midfielder and 1 forward) for £10-15M each. Two players who could be backup/squadplayers for now. Play them when others need a rest and give them time to develop and become good players in the future.
