  1. Their initial intention with FFP I’m sure was noble. But it will never work as intended. Never. It will backfire immensely and utimately hurt the interest in EPL and football.
It only serves to protect the biggest clubs, and if that’s the way they want it, they should support the creation of a Super League rather than fight it.

  2. So, it’s now a thing that if you «only have 6 months left of your contract» you can leave for free? Does it work the other way too. You’re surplus so we can release you for free…?

I do think Sky will start to get restless if there are further Jan windows like this. Viewing figures/general engagement will be way down.

Between commercial partners, and FFP starting to bite even for top 6 sides (Man U and Chelsea both apparently limited this window) I can see a re-jig of the rules in the next couple years. I mean, even just adjusting the losses allowed to account for inflation would be a start. It hasn't changed since it was implemented.

    TL;DR Scrap FFP.

Liverpool brought on Jota, Gakpo, Gravenberch and Mac Allister. Harvey Elliott didn't get on. They have injuries too, Matip, Robertson, Tsimikas, Thiago. Both their quality left backs are fucked and they still have Joe Gomez to play there.

That's what rotation is meant to look like when you play a CL campaign, two elite XIs plus cover even for them. We're squabbling over whether Lewis Hall and Matt Ritchie should have been given an extra 20 minutes, it's deckchairs on the Titanic stuff.

The problem for any club that qualifies out of the blue like we did is that all the other clubs in it, especially in England, have built CL capable squads up over a decade. FFP stops us doing that in one go or even several.

And that my friend is why modern football is fucked up and rigged so that the big clubs will remain big for eternity.

  5. Too early to consider sacking him, but I’m afraid his intense style both have been ‘found out’, and has led to so many injuries and fatigue in the squad.

We are clearly short in numbers to compete on ‘all fronts’, but we also can’t go out spending too much because of the ridiculous FFP rules.

It only looks the worse business in the clubs history because we’re now buying the most expensive players in the clubs history, there’s bigger risks involved.

Bigger risk for what? Gambling bans are certainly not everyday-life. Thank God for that.
