  1. It's odd, he backs himself but hasn't consistently got it right. Similar to pens. He backs himself but he's not massively convincing.
  2. Liverpool are so well drilled and always seem instantly ready collectively pounce when a turn over happens in our half. Not a criticism on us because Liverpool quality up front is insane, but we always seem disjointed and in shock when we win the all ball up pitch. Subtle difference but huge to the outcomes.
  3. Salah rinsed us Mac Allister finishes well.
  4. Definitely a good spell for us. More in their half.
  5. That tracking back by Diaz was class.
  6. Good start to second half so far.
  7. He really is. Tenacious, high energy and great technique.
  8. We'd struggle to keep up with this italian legend on the break.
  9. He shouldn't even be an option. I know PSR etc. - but it was daft to think he'd be fit or still capable after last season.
  10. Dunno what's up with him? It feels like he's been ever present for every game for 3 years now and finally we seeing some unusual shifts from him - is he in need of a rest? (Not that we can give him one).
  11. Pope and Wilson May as well get Hislop and Shearer on. Fancy us to do better.
  12. More chance of him stopping the clergy from touching kids than stopping goals.
  13. It's become a big problem. Teams know to exploit it.
  14. Same with Gakpo. He's much more involved. Almost achieved last years stats 10 games less.

They were useless against Bournemouth, Fulham at home etc. - games you would excpect those 3 to control or dominate a game.

I was thinking this. We are setup for conceding "control" of the game to press and win turn overs high up pitch, capitalise on forced errors and also counter quickly. The only times we control things from middle is against teams camped in their half doing the low block. It's not the best for countering a physically engaging side wanting to impose on us, especially through the middle, due to a severe lack of athleticism and pace between both centre of defence and centre of midfield. City game or second half of Forest game case and point.
  18. Hopefully Eddie gets a grip of the issues in thar second half. Cant help but feel it doesnt help that too many first teamers are not under any threat for someone taking their spot too.
