"The reality is, and we all know this." errrrrrrrrrr no we dont. Go back to 2007 & you have just herd the news the UK's 25th wealthiest person worth £1.9 billion has taken over NUFC. Did that pan out the way we all thought? erm, try reading that again it might make more sense the second time, but here a hint just incase you don't get it the second time. IF Shepard had kept control !!!
-
Am I right in thinking Sir John Hall who sold his shares for £55,342,223 & the Shepherd family who got £37.6million for theres would of let or would been unable to stop Newcastle going inslolvent. Yeah thats right, i believe that the club would have been de-listed from the stock exchange and assest stiped as much Why do we have to deal in hypothetical? We know what happened & we know where we are. This is not Back To Future ffs!!! You can paint the picture of doom but what if Sam had of worked for the bloke that employed him & his record is pretty good working for these sort of chaps. It was a brilliant season with Shay in goal. The lovable Brazilian veteran Cacapa in front of him who is nicknamed "The Don" as he runs the back 4 while never going faster than 4mph, beside him is Geordie favorite Rozehnal. The new fullback pairing of Beye & Enrique are as good as anything people have seen before. The midfield is made up of play maker & captain the ever present Joey Barton, the Beckhamesq Geremi on the right, the happy go lucky tricky winger N'Zogbia on the left & the lad known as "Wall" Faye is @ DM. The attack if known as FIVE star with England duo Michael Owen & the clubs top goalscorer Alan Smith backed up by 3 brilliant consistent strikers in Oba, Viduka & Shola. They managed to get us into the UEFA cup in BSA first season & who can forget qualifying for the CL via 2nd place in the league in Big Sams 2nd season. Adidas renewing there contract in a blockbuster deal. The local bank getting replaced by Microsoft. Happy f***ing days in Never Never Land. Thats a very nice flip side of the hypothetical. But the reality is, and we all know this. The club would have be a lot worse off then we are now (it could have been like southampton) if Shepard had control of the club much longer then he did. No wonder SJH sold to the first mug willing to pay over the odds for us, and no wonder Ashley is pissed at us. Ripped of by Geordies, torn into by 40K plus fans just about every other week at SJP. This is by no ways and means me siding with him, cause that would be impossible the guys the luckiest business man around and a grade A++ tit to boot and the sooner he's gone the better and i'm sure he feels the same. The Ashley cluster f*** was exacerbated by the financial crisis in which he lost nearly half his paper value. Are we lucky to be here right now seeing what could have been, or would it have been better to go belly up and sink ? btw i really don't know how to call it. I'm slightly siding with Ashley for the pure reason that it would kill the NE that little bit more. The club is the pulse of the city and without beating strong things would be that little bit sadder

I'd say no, unless cancelling the debt owed to Fat Ash was part of any deal. Not possible as the loan is now payable on demand to Ashley
-
So are the halls and Shepards After years of rank bad management, they left the club in an appalling mess: a £30 million loss; £70 million of debt plus £27 million owing transfer fees; extremely limited borrowing capacity, as all assets and income streams had already been used to secure loans; and a bloated wage bill of aging mercenaries on generous long-term contracts.

The why some people are going on you think we where going to be wearing pillow cases. Maaama where gonna lynch us a cockney today :/
-
I reckon Tintin would have you. Boro Tintin, or regular Tintin? both together
-
The good thing is once it's totally gone to ratshit, players jumping and the likes. Supports that sat around moaning about us that wanting to do something will hopefully have fucked off
-
Well played you, why fan the flames of a dead fire ?
-
Agree, no way he's worth £6m + like suggested further back on here How much would it cost to replace him ? Thats how much he is worth, well it would be to any other club
-
Shouldn't the be a middle eastern buyer ? And no thanks, there even shadier than ashley Sicko..... So you prefer Ashley over some one like the Man City owners? Dude you need to check in to the nearest mental hospital Where did i say that ?. Anyway i want stability not cash and instability. We have already had a dressing room with over payed over hyped journey men thanks. Hows about a owner, who aims to slowly build the club up from nothing investing in youth and development, abit like ashley promised and wenger is doing. Not a big ask is it A bit like Ashley?? so you like some aspect of Ashley? I hate the faceless whore and I can't wait until he getts fkn out of my club. It can be anyone who can buy this club it can't be worst than Ashley... OMG how the hell did you come to that answer ? Putting the fat cunt to one side. Running a club on the business idea of developing players for the first team or to sell, will generate a fair amount of income + 20million per year cash investment into the playing squad is a very good business plan to develop any club. That was one of fat cunts original promises. Just because he had the idea don't make it a bad idea and it certinaly don't mean i side with him. Get a grip man Arsenal have done this for years (yes they invest way more as well)

So had Houghton, but he got shipped out. As for the we sell statment, it was the begining of the end when ashley bought us tbh
-
Golfmag's ITK status is very good and i will always trust what he says now. But are we suprised that all the pro hughton players will be off. If we as fans cannot see the future going well for NUFC from the outside, just imagine what i looks like from the inside of the club.

Nail on head, we have been shit without barton and Tiote for a few games now and we have gone to shit, take them out and replace with ? It pains me to say this but most of our team at this current moment are irreplaceable and it pains me to type that
-
FYP TBF, only Jose Enrique and Andy Carroll are irreplaceable, the rest of them can go at the right price. Obviously there are some you'd like to keep but for example rumours suggest Liverpool are after Jonas for £8m... ..who wouldn't take that? Now could be a good time for a fire-sale. Shake your heed man, we wouldn't be where we are without these players they have got us here not ashley or pardrew. We have a super thin squad and people are happy to see ?millions feed into ashley and not the squad from outgoing sales Do you think we will spend 50% of the money we get from sales ? Same players who took us down as well. They weren't good enough then and aren't now if were honest and why people fear relegation again. Getting Barton off the wage bill isn't top priority for me, like I said Smith needs to be first out of the door, but there are players on our books who's wages don't match their ability, Barton is one of them. Yeah i agree with that, but to say we religated because of the players is mad (it was part there fault). We got religated because Ashley gambled and it blew up in his face. Hughton and the very same players got us up with a 102 points, undefeated at home all season. They have taken us on to some great win this season against good sides. BTW i agree about smith but he aint gong anywhere until his contract is up We got primotion because of the boys, and religated because of the boys. We plied well and difended like troopers all season. Unfortunatelty we sacked Chris Highton and installed Alin Pirdew as manager. We got religated because ashley f***ed up resulting in the dominos falling tbf Diminoes Yeah i hd one last night and my spelling is s*** tbf, you still knew what i was aiming at edit for typo(missed the k of knew)

Zip because who will replace him ? If we get a player of similar ilk and then sell (never going to happen) then maybe 4-6m (fits tin hat)
