  1. because when fit hes better than what we have. id rather we pissed around getting woodgate fit than steven taylor all the time Are you mad, we tried to get him fit . That didn't work so sold him.
  2. The scouscers (in stereotypical scouse fashion) pinched that from man city. I just been listening to radio city and the commentators said that the empty seats where due to the irish/foreign supporters could not make it due to being a rearranged mid week game. It's more about the song then the fans. If any group of fans sang it before every match, it be just as good. Minus Sunderland. Back in the 70s it was sang on the terraces of most clubs. Not sure when everyone else stopped singing it. Standing on the terraces, both the home and away fans singing that would make the hairs stand up. I would imagine most clubs stopped due to wanting there own song, not many do now though.

  7. Do you think so, They couldn't see of Stevenage. As much as it pains me, i'll go 2:1 to them with both Smith and Cattermole walking.
  8. It's just been on the local radio station that Dalglish is in the for a full time job as he has the skill, and playing style to carry Liverpool the where they should be. This was said by Comilli (SP).

    Pitch invasion...

So no retraction of this then? http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/171096/Stevenage-3-Newcastle-1-Stevie-wonders-/ Wouldn't it be great if the NUST hounded the paper into printing a retractle piece, shame there fecking uslesss
  10. Doesn't surprise me. RAWK has gone absolutely Kenny krazy. I have a bit of a soft spot (missus is from L'pool) for Liverpool, but to give Kenny anything after 1 game would be lunacy at it's best
  11. Remember the sensible and concise reaction from the NUFC fans around SJP on Sky Sports News when we brought back KK/When Shearer was appointed/when we sacked KK? Exactly why its frightening. Look how that worked out.... I know, the point I was making is that fans are overly emotional about club heroes, it's what football is about. I was delighted when KK came back and lost all sense of logical thinking, it's what makes sport great. We really are not in a position to point fingers & mock other supporters when we have been in the exact position and were just as delirious as Liverpool fans are now. This is why its easier to mock though, we've been through that hell and know it doesn't work. We should by sympathetic maybe, but the world don't work like that A big difference is that we don't have Ashley in charge. Yeah thats true but it don't mean the new owner ain't a w***** :/

    Hatem Ben Arfa

IIRC We had only agreed to sign him at the end of the season considering he'd played 25 games. He had his leg broke, which means he's unlikely to play 25 games considering there's only 19 games of the season left. Obviously the little that was seen from him was enough to impress therefore surely worth the risk? I don't disagree with any of that, but the deal to buy him could have been re arranged for the purchase at the end of season. Like it was but without the 25 game clause. The point i'm trying to make is why purchase him now, when the money could have been used else where to strenghten the squad.

Why sign a player in Jan, that we had already agreed to sign at the end of the season. Not that i'm un happy about the signing just seams strange considering his injury and the fact nobody has a clue how it will effecct him. Now we have spent this money, will ther be any more ?

  17. "The reality is, and we all know this." errrrrrrrrrr no we dont. Go back to 2007 & you have just herd the news the UK's 25th wealthiest person worth £1.9 billion has taken over NUFC. Did that pan out the way we all thought? erm, try reading that again it might make more sense the second time, but here a hint just incase you don't get it the second time. IF Shepard had kept control !!!
  18. Am I right in thinking Sir John Hall who sold his shares for £55,342,223 & the Shepherd family who got £37.6million for theres would of let or would been unable to stop Newcastle going inslolvent. Yeah thats right, i believe that the club would have been de-listed from the stock exchange and assest stiped as much Why do we have to deal in hypothetical? We know what happened & we know where we are. This is not Back To Future ffs!!! You can paint the picture of doom but what if Sam had of worked for the bloke that employed him & his record is pretty good working for these sort of chaps. It was a brilliant season with Shay in goal. The lovable Brazilian veteran Cacapa in front of him who is nicknamed "The Don" as he runs the back 4 while never going faster than 4mph, beside him is Geordie favorite Rozehnal. The new fullback pairing of Beye & Enrique are as good as anything people have seen before. The midfield is made up of play maker & captain the ever present Joey Barton, the Beckhamesq Geremi on the right, the happy go lucky tricky winger N'Zogbia on the left & the lad known as "Wall" Faye is @ DM. The attack if known as FIVE star with England duo Michael Owen & the clubs top goalscorer Alan Smith backed up by 3 brilliant consistent strikers in Oba, Viduka & Shola. They managed to get us into the UEFA cup in BSA first season & who can forget qualifying for the CL via 2nd place in the league in Big Sams 2nd season. Adidas renewing there contract in a blockbuster deal. The local bank getting replaced by Microsoft. Happy f***ing days in Never Never Land. Thats a very nice flip side of the hypothetical. But the reality is, and we all know this. The club would have be a lot worse off then we are now (it could have been like southampton) if Shepard had control of the club much longer then he did. No wonder SJH sold to the first mug willing to pay over the odds for us, and no wonder Ashley is pissed at us. Ripped of by Geordies, torn into by 40K plus fans just about every other week at SJP. This is by no ways and means me siding with him, cause that would be impossible the guys the luckiest business man around and a grade A++ tit to boot and the sooner he's gone the better and i'm sure he feels the same. The Ashley cluster f*** was exacerbated by the financial crisis in which he lost nearly half his paper value. Are we lucky to be here right now seeing what could have been, or would it have been better to go belly up and sink ? btw i really don't know how to call it. I'm slightly siding with Ashley for the pure reason that it would kill the NE that little bit more. The club is the pulse of the city and without beating strong things would be that little bit sadder

  20. I'd say no, unless cancelling the debt owed to Fat Ash was part of any deal. Not possible as the loan is now payable on demand to Ashley
  21. So are the halls and Shepards After years of rank bad management, they left the club in an appalling mess: a £30 million loss; £70 million of debt plus £27 million owing transfer fees; extremely limited borrowing capacity, as all assets and income streams had already been used to secure loans; and a bloated wage bill of aging mercenaries on generous long-term contracts.
