I think it'll be a real statement of intent to get someone like Conte. I wouldn't mind someone like Howe though, as a different type of statement. I'd love to see us build a solid and exciting team over the next three or so seasons, build up the training facilities, fill the backroom staff up to acceptable levels, etc, rather than just go out and splash the cash every which way on players/managers.

That flight ledger in the other thread definitely points towards that possibly being the case.
