Just been looking at a Brighton forum and they seem gutted he's left, which is a good sign. Hope he does as well for us!

Also taking the piss at how much we have paid.

Perhaps, but now we are negotiating for deals around £40M, not £5M + a pack of donnay socks then walking away and buying Neek Hunt.

Joe Harvey got Malcolm MacDonald for if I remember £185000 plus a packet of tabs if I think back correctly, someone will put me right if I'm wrote g

I’m nearly 50, born in Newcastle and supported them all my life - getting the chance to get carried away doesn’t happen that often so maybe I have gone a little crazy.

Never won a decent trophy since 1968 , Alan Weeks commentator ,our time has come .

  4. Think there may well be premier league clubswho have to push to boat out to compete but will leave them in financial trouble. Those championship clubs looking for promotion will have major probs just trying to remain in the PL

  5. BBC reckons Man U wanted £1,000,000 week for him and package total worth £12,000,000 to hell with tat, if they are prepared to allow him to lie in his deckchair then let them get on with it

To be fair, it sounds like Man United are being the unreasonable party in this instance.

Don't forget they were one of the protagonist's along with the other 17 I believe who prevented us from sorting sponsorship? Out for a month due to the takeover, bugger them and call it a day.The worst case scenario and hopeful outcome is we survive without getting anymore in and look forward to next season.

Brighton, Burnley, Everton or Dortmund too.

Brighton or Dortmund would actually be a canny move for him tbf.

Think you can write those lot off, why go to Burnley already I believe have given up t,he ghost,, Everton are scraping the barrel with results and continue to drift down, Brighton not exactly a team to improve his options, other lot don't think so, only us his viable option though time will tell.

My mate is engaged to be married for the 4th time, he’s not even 50, he’s a fanny rat though and they all find out eventually, he’s probably spent 60k or more on weddings [emoji38]

Must love expensive wedding cake, to hell with that and all the agro.

£45-50million isn't too much for a club competing in the top 4, so it's not an absurd amount of money, given our ambitions. If he's the top target then I assume we're prepared to pay it. By the time he retires we could be spending £100mill on his replacement.

Personally I would leave them with an enemy within if he's that keen to come and they're acting the goat, nowt wrong with making prospective purchases unhappy.

What I’m seeing is they will try and sign him in the summer. If we sign other players before then who gives a shit.

Yeah, think they've now missed the boat and will regret it, once we get others in
