  1. Why not though... He's probably the most in form English full back and that's the same argument people use for wanting the likes of Vardy and not Rooney...

    Paul Dummett

We've been a better defensive unit since he has returned, that's for sure...
  3. I assume there's no tickets for England vs Wales? Or if there are they are ridiculous amounts?
  4. Even in more recent years I've experienced the twattery of South Yorkshire Police. They seem to have a bully-like tactic for enforcing the law which inevitably creates hostility. I went to France for Marseille and they were all dressed like Robocop (the French Police) and you couldn't help but feel intimidated and backed into a corner (mind you I was 15). If anything small was done it would have went off big time. It almost did at Benfica a few years back, when a bloke simply tried to take his young son to the toilet and was hit with a baton, as was the kid. Dozens of Newcastle fans started pouncing on the Police and they almost lost control. South Yorkshire Police seemed of similar ilk several years ago. Another bad set I've experienced is Cleveland Police. It's been seen that by using high police presence, but minimal police force, that one of the fiercest derbies in Britain goes by with minimal arrests. The vast majority of fans are there for the football and banter and should be rightly rewarded with this freedom to do so in a fun and positive way. Hopefully, this sparks the re-introduction of standing areas at top flight British football and hopefully a boost in the atmosphere that can be generated from like-minded fans, standing and singing together, akin to Germany. Ultimately, the campaigners have showed real grit and determination and can be proud of their actions. Hopefully, whilst this should never be forgotten, the football world can now move on...with hope in it's heart. RIP you 96 Reds, no fan should ever go to the game and not return.

The twists and turns will test each of the teams psychologically now. I think Norwich have had their turn as favourites, now Sunderland will, ours will come when the time is right, after this weekend. Except we have a confidence team, more so than their organised units. We'll grow from strength to strength whereas they're very much the standard that they're at. The problem is it might be too little too late. Villa away is probably our most difficult game to be honest. Without the 12th man and the comforts of home. We've already beat Spurs this season, they're fucking wank.
  7. Title handed to Leicester if it stays this way. Lush. I bet the mackems will be drowning in the notion of a conspiracy theory right now. What happened with Alli?
  8. Genuinely...are the FA investigating the scum at all?
  9. It's awful. what is it ? It doesn't fit or sound good at all. Horrific.
  10. Did Leicester just sibg God Save Our Queen

  13. I'll be honest like, a reschedule would be better for me as I'm playing 5 X 20 minute 11a side games and a 90 minute 11 a side game on Sunday

[emoji38]aye so there is certainly a reason for people to be positive. I actually think that's been Benitez's most effective tool...positive mental attitude. That's what's transformed the club more than anything. Someone who wants the job, wants to do well and in public at least believes we can do well. There's been no grumblings from the fans since he came and everyone up to Benitez (including the fans) are pulling in the same direction.

I can totally see where the optimism is coming from tbf. When was the last time we went 3 unbeaten this season? When was the last time we picked up a point away from home? We have one of the lesser sides in the league at home and also the Vile who are just shocking, albeit away from home, but we have renewed enthusiasm and belief we an get results away. We're not being unrealistic to feel we can get 6 points from those two. The mackems have been predominantly drawing games and so long as Arsenal do the business today they can only pull 3 ahead assuming they beat Everton. I don't see them beating Stoke away or Chelsea at home. At max they will get two points for me (in those two games) which puts us ahead going into the last game of the season. Anything is possible then. It will quite literally go to the wire like that's for sure. However, we're probably the side with the best momentum and arguably the best fixtures remaining...
  16. Pretty sure he'd be good enough for Malmo tbh [emoji38]piss off
  17. Aye, it's not what he's saying that's the issue though, it's the fact he's been nowhere good enough to get in a Champions League team. He can say that if he wants when he is consistently performing.
  18. That's one of my largest gripes with him. Don't talk the talk if you're not walking the walk. Lascelles in recent weeks has been the opposite but actually has backed his words up with stronger actions. Hence why he's fast becoming a fan favourite and Moussa well...isn't.
  19. Aye, I agree with that 100%. I guess Rafa sees that too based on his decision to make him centre piece and captain.
