I would take yr hand off for win v fulham and draw vs the Mackems tbh.
-
imagine the tension if its for 3rd/4th bottom.
-
oh dear, see him cussing as he was subbed today- up on the big screen for the whole crowd to watch
-
Yup I will shit myself inside out Derby weekend if we lose to fulham.
-
It isn't going to happen anyway, we'll go out this round. tbh I think thats probably true.
-
Would winning a cup make him a good manager? it would make him our most successful for over 40 years, I could live with it.
-
its 3 points to teams with a game in hand-
-
tbh if we win it, I might just call it a day. quit while im ahead, save myself waiting another 40 years. edit incognito-- Relegation is more likely imo.

It's irrelevant "how long we give him" because our opinion doesn't register with the owner. He'll do exactly as he pleases with our club, and that's likely to be sticking with Pardew. This reality makes it so difficult to support the club/team at the moment because with this squad we all know we could do so much better with a decent coach. I really think they might bin him, they're not anywhere near as stupid as I thought they were and they'll want to be getting maximum return on a lot of the good work they're doing off the pitch. They're ruthless too and I'd be surprised if Pardew's contract was worth the paper it was written on, in terms of the implications of sacking him. Knowing Ashley an 8 year contract pay off for Pardew would cost less than paying any of the previous owners managers off for 6 months worth. I think it will be this summer unless he wins the Europa cup or Jan if we arent in the top 10 by then. Me too, Ashley and Llambias are all about value for money etc and I'd imagine they'll be really fucked off about this season, regardless of their own dallying last summer. He gets paid up a year of his contract. Aye, that's what people seem to be saying. £1m or whatever seems like a fucking bargain at the minute. The thing that does cross my mind sometimes is if we somehow managed to win the Europa League then I'd have to get a tattoo of Pardew's face on my chest or something, I place so much value on winning a trophy after 40-odd years of under-achievement and it feel like the ultimate irony if a manager that I've never really taken to (other than giving him credit here and there for good results, etc) was the one that delivered it for us. was just wondering what the Pardew Haters would do if we won the Europa

The money spent only crops up against teams who spend more, I wonder why it wasn't brought up against Wigan? I think maybe there was something about refereeing that got the focus.
-
cisse will get a couple, all thier calling him shit will backfire- dont think they are capable of getting a couple in return. A few derbys recently they have escaped with a point when we deserved more- luck will catch them up this time.
-
they will have to learn to score goals then.
-
nah its got nowt to do with it. Shit manager vs Good manager. thats all nothing else.

Writing one game off, against an Uber team like this , where the effort and damage involved in competing is so high, compared to the other games up coming is acceptable yes. I hope you are right. so do I..... but just imagine how we would be feeling tonight if we had gone down with glorious defeat, say 2-1 , lost a couple of players to injury, had someone sent off for a pen, etc etc. valiant effort- far reaching consequences. Having a go at winning a game of football doesn't mean that the players are going to get injured or sent off. This is a ridiculous argument. You might, MIGHT have a point if we weren't devoid of any creativity, attacking impetus or drive to out score teams and WIN games every week. It doesn't matter who we're playing. Was that a tantrum? What makes you think I was thinking about you when I mentioned Tantrums then? edit- I dont beleive we can compete with Man City without a massive fight and effort, that may be more than a point at best is worth. I didn't necessarily think you were talking about me mate, I just didn't think I'd seen any. Imo we can win any game of football on any day with the right preparation, attitude and application. Sometimes you play well and the oppositions just too good for you obviously. Today didn't have to be one of those days. ok, maybe not tantrums, but defo some spat dummies in a couple of threads, but anyway I guess thats why football is so good, it means a lot. I just feel given the season we've had re-injuries and under manned squad for half a season, that todays game cant be viewed in isolation, and a manager must consider the games after. I fully expect us to go into games of this type competing next season, if we still have a full squad/ probs less midweek games. You just know football goes in cycles and im certain we will have our day against Man City when we are in form and they have problems- thats the time to judge us. If we survive and we should, then Pardew gets next season for me, no more excuses tho, time for the shit football to stop, we need to see what this team can do with a pre season, lesser workload. I'm doing the opposite of that and I've said so. Take the last two years as proof, the football has been largely uninspiring, we won more games last season because we were very fortunate with injuries and had two strikers on hot streaks at different times. At worst the football has been diabolical and there's many, many examples of it home and away. I'd rather judge us over time, and Pardew falls way short of what we deserve imo. I honestly think you're going to be disappointed. In fact I'm pretty much positive you are. I and others voiced these concerns last season, when we were getting results and everyone was fit. so you actually do believe a manager should NOT consider the bigger picture?

Absolute garbage. because its not critical of Pardew? .

very clearly this, some may think its wrong- I respect thier right to this. I agree fully its the right thing to do, but to be having full on tantrums about is laughable. I haven't seen a tantrum. We just tend to discuss the manager on match day. I'm sure that's preferable to me posting that he's shite in the Pardew thread every single day? what?

If Pardew sent the players out and told them to go through the motions and get through the game without injury or suspesion then it was exactly what a proffesional manager should have done, I fully support this, as to consider the consequences of those things happening could have caused far further reaching problems than losing a game to an expensive circus of a football club.
