  1. I preferred standing in the Leazes and was gutted when they pulled it down, I still enjoyed going in to the Gallowgate, even if it wasn't quite as good. Im sure us oldies have been here before- My dad used to take me in the leazes corner next east stand, them fuckers in the middle section then were mental- was that you? Btw ive just read TT post our average this seaso is 45k.... wtf is dissapointing about that?
  2. Go in another part of the ground where you don't need a membership. Mick- the whole disscusion started over people wanting to in in L7 for a better atmosphere. but yeah, I accept there is the option of going in another part of the ground, which is how it is going to turn out. But I would have prefered the option of walking up to L7 and paying on the door like I did last season.
  3. I'm not paying for a membership that I will use one though. so I will join for myself.ok. then what about the one game a season each of my kids/ lass want to got to? fuck it,they are just putting obstacles in the way.
  4. As Ive said before it really simple. If i have a free sat ( very rare) or its a midweek game, and I finish work- I want to decide then maybe 2-3 hours before kickoff and head up and just pay cash on the door, simple as that. Am i fair weather- lacking loyalty? Well when i was single less resposibilty had season tickets ,or went most games through 80s,90s. thats not how I want to do it now, it dosent fit with my lifestyle- the club is run by wankers, the players are greedy uncaring twats so I dont care, If they dont want my business Thats Ok. Nothing stopping you going to the box office and buying a ticket there and then for another part of the ground an hour or so before kick off. Greg, people prefer level 7 to other parts of the ground because people go to football games because of the atmosphere me included. You could further go onto this debate, by debating the introduction of terracing which would allow more fans which are paying less. Funny you should mention that, cos Greg has got me thinking about what Im missing at the match and I think its the terracing- completely different experience. L7 is closest ive felt its been since they went all seat.

I Like the atmosphere in L7 last season- dont really enjoy the experience in the rest of the ground too many zombies.

  7. Sings, like the carpenters. When I was young I'd listen to the radio Waitin' for my favorite Team When they played I'd sing along It made me smile Those were such happy times And not so long ago How I wondered where they'd gone But they're back again Just like a long lost friend All the Games I loved so well Every sha-la-la-la Every wo-o-wo-o Still shines Every shing-a-ling-a-ling That they're startin' to sing's So fine When they get to the part Where he's missing that shot It can really make me cry Just like before It's yesterday once more Lookin' back on How it was in years gone by And the good times that I had All my best memories Come back clearly to me Some can even make me cry Just like before It's yesterday once more Makes today seem rather sad So much has changed
  8. Starts the 'Its dead fucking quiet' debate again..............
  9. Then it costs you £10, not really the end of the world if L7 is more important than simply going to a couple of games if you ask me. Or am sure if you have any mates there will be a use for it over the course of a season........ Not really, all my mates are total non-football watching faggots, apart from Dino who has a season ticket (albeit in the family section, the loser). Basically, the problem is that it's just another hoop to jump through in order to get a ticket for football, it's just a really terrible/in existent sales strategy. They should be doing all they can to get people in, and on the morning of the game it should be easy to make an impromptu decision to turn up to SJP and watch NUFC. But it isn't. Ultimately, if you really wanted to go, you'd get a season ticket, or you'd order in plenty of time, or beg someone. But it's not those people that this membership crap stops, it's the fairweather twats like me, and the people who don't know whether they can go to the match till the last minute, for whatever reason. More hoops = less people. i hate it when I agree with semtex.
  10. I think the vast majority would. But when the choice is £25 on a match ticket or feeding the kids/pay a bill it then becomes no choice at all. Exactly right. Exactly, let the little buggers go hungry. I wouldnt say things were that tight tbh. but with three kids tapping my wallet, then choices have to be considered. so matches are down to a hadful a season. Ad I want the chance of deciding and paying on the day thanks.

  12. Exactly, my ST is in the East Stand and i wouldn't change it for anywhere else, its pretty much dead centre of the pitch & the ticket has been past down from my grandad who's had it since the early 80's. I dont want to be sitting at the top of L7 watching subutteo like players where the majority of kids & chavs probably sit. like I said self acclaimed elite.
  13. Most the people in he East stand have been there since pre-92. Middle aged grumpys. Think they are some sort of elite and also think its uncool to make noise at the match= Dull. Give me L7 any day.
  14. Wonder if the new Level 7 rule has had an affect too. See my post on the bottom of the previous page. I will take the bairn to arsenal at home in CCC. in l7 if we can pay on the Day. If we can not, i wont be going. Its just too much fuck on. How is it too much fuck on to order tickets online and have them posted to your house? because I want to pay cash, The bairn will probs decide on the day if he wants to go, as will my lass. its just so much easier to leave it open and all of us, or maybe just me bymyself head up on the night.

  16. A lot more people have gotten clued up on match streams aswell. This I know for certain. I know former season ticket holders who watch it on the net.
  17. feeble or not- Its what ashley has done thats lost 10,000 people.
  18. the football offered isnt really worth the price charged. If you charge too much for your product- less people buy it. why now- rather thab before under roeder, souness,- simple Ashley has pissed a lot of people off.
  19. they do have another tactic, launch it down the tramlines when not near enough to launch it into the Box.
