I'm not sure about that, but I'll follow your lead and try not to derail this any further

I just don't believe things work so linearly, to say we're exactly where we are in 20/21 based solely on league position just isn't accurate at all in my opinion
-
Because that's exactly how things work

Let me make an argument with as many holes as a slice of emmantel and then back away as soon as the most basic of research challenges it...

Excited to see Osula and Woltemade together, maybe a 3-5-2 with Hall and Murphy as wingbacks? -
He was basically a liaison between clubs and a first point of contact for players.

I'm sure JT is a piece of shit to be around on the touchline but Hurzler was constantly in the ear of the fourth official and needed to be told to rein it in multiple times, seemed a real entitled prick out there -
I won't belabour the point but our looking at our future solely based off the current trajectory precludes plenty of viable alternate (and more positive) paths that we've seen up until recently. But like you, I'm just happy we're seeing some energy and application on the pitch right now, so I'll end it there

Except for the entirety of Howe's tenure, that's too big a picture for many here
-
Excepting the two halves of football - both against Barcelona - first half in the group stage and second half in the r16 match, I don't think that's true, certainly PSG away we pressed well, held our own and arguably deserved to win. Likewise the home knockout fixture against Barca

So his 'form curve' is trending down because...? -
All fair though I suppose I was responding to those who have acted as if this was the straw that broke the camels back for Howe, which your last paragraph hedges and as such I'm not sure my post was aimed at you or any of the points you're making
-
How does a one goal loss away to a team neck in neck for the title change anyone's opinion? How could this be the straw that broke the camels back? And if so, did any of your posts show you thinking we'd win today?
-
Absolutely nothing, just a race to throw in the same hot take they've had for ages
-
If I remember it was basically a season of two distinct halves - first half scraping results but generally poor football, second half after Cisse arrived we had that 433 that clicked.
-
Its easy to think like this, simply ignore every good result
-
For some as soon as the takeover happened they've expected us to beat everyone. Losses count in their math, all the other successes are abberant.
-
So why not say that instead of framing speculative "logical reasoning" as a fact?
-
The question was specifically about a shortlist. Is that true or did you make that up as a stick to beat Howe with?
