Unless Taylor's torn a cruciate, or torn a medial ligament, I can't see him being out for the season
He took a knock, yes, and could have strained ligaments. So that'd be what, normally about 8 weeks?
-
His English somes really good.
It's better than yours.
-
We only conceded 7 more last season, than the season we finished 4th under Sir Bobby.
That's actually stunning.
-
So say Coloccini is injured and Taylor suspended for a vital match.
I'd rather Kadar and Williamson than have Tozer or Simpson anywhere near the CB position.
We'd have sufficient depth at CB. 4 we could play with reasonable quality.
I say all this assuming Williamson's an average CB.

I would be okay with us taking a punt on Healy. Did well in the SPL if I remember correctly? I figure that's about on par with the Championship.
Not the SPL mate. He did alright at Leeds in the Championship.
Just look at his hat-trick against Spain if you want examples of his finishing. He would be able to do a job for us, no doubt. I actually think he was Premier League quality a few years ago. Maybe not anymore.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/sunderland/8470445.stm
Out-of-favour Sunderland striker David Healy is pleading with clubs to consider snapping him up before the end of the current transfer window. The Northern Ireland striker has failed to win a regular starting place for the Black Cats since moving to the club in August 2008.
"I know my future is not going to be at Sunderland," Healy told BBC Sport.
"I'm more than willing to go back to the Championship and get back to enjoying my football again."
Healy added:"It's been a disappointing time and people have said that it's time to move on but when you have a contract and a family where you live, sometimes it's difficult."
Healy has been linked with a number of clubs but the 30-year-old downplayed those press reports as "speculation".
"I haven't got my eye on anywhere. I have been linked to a number of Championship clubs but I can't name anybody.
"But it's two weeks until the end of the transfer window and I know that things aren't going to progress for me at Sunderland."
Healy acknowledged that a return to League One leaders Leeds would interest him.
"If there was a club I was ever going to go back to play for, it would be Leeds. I have huge affection for the club."
In November, Healy failed to win a starting place for Northern Ireland's friendly against Serbia.
It was the first time Healy had been dropped for a home game at Windsor Park since his international career started in February 2000.
Quality finisher who will thrive with regular football. Please, PLEASE bring him in!

Hughton was suitably impressed with Simpson's performance in the 2-2 draw with fellow Championship high-fliers West Brom at St James' Park on Monday.
He added: "I thought he was excellent.
"He was up against a very good, free-flowing player in Jerome Thomas. He's a good athlete and runner, but Danny was there, and we sorely needed him."
No wonder he wants to sign him if he thinks he played well against West Brom. Seems he can do no wrong.
Hopefully the report isn't true anyway.
Hughton's not a moron. He knows he was awful.
But Simpson knew he was awful as well, you could see it in his face.
Hughton's doing the right thing, managerially, imo, and backing the player publically.

Harper - 6
Simpson - 2 (one of the worst defensive performances I've seen from a Newcastle player in recent years)
S Taylor - 7
Coloccini - 6
Enrique - 6.5 (assist redeems him for some very dodgy give-aways)
Guthrie - 7 (sublime freekick, solid shift)
Nolan - 4 (Was he even on the pitch?)
Smith - 6 (Very quiet game, especially when we needed him to break down their attacks. However, the kamikaze shot block... )
Gutierrez - 7.5 (Man of the Match, just, simply because he stretched their defence, he caused them problems and he looked like he wasn't scared to run at them)
Ameobi - 3 (woeful)
Lovenkrands - 7 (good header, love the guy for playing)
Carroll - 5.5 (better than Ameobi)
R Taylor - 6 (at least he tackled their right wing, unlike Simpson)
-
Simpson was absolutely atrocious last night.
Going by Newcastle's track record, any doubts we had over his good performances will be erradicated, and we'll sign him up immediately.
-
O'Neill isn't British. He's mostly played and managed in Britain, but he's Irish.
Being from Northern Ireland makes you British.
He is still most likely from Irish heritage, but is a British citizen.

Has this been posted before?

I got 78, missed loads of obvious ones as per.
Have only managed 60 68 so far.
-
Can't believe Nolan's done that like, red card after 0.3 seconds.
Not funny lol
-
If I were in the country, I'd be there blizzard or nay.
Unfortunately, I only land back in Newcastle tomorrow evening.
-
There'd be hell on if one of our players wore a former clubs stuff in an interview.
It's a bit like Shearer wearing a Sunderland polo shirt, esp. after the celebration incident.
-
Call me insane, but Nicky Butt had a splendid half. Where was Enrique for their first goal.
You're insane mate.
No honestly, hes done absolutely nothing wrong, and his long passes that usually end up with f*** all, are accurate today.
It's true. Butt's played pretty damn well.
-
Are Boro the worst away fans we've had here this season or do Watford pip them to it?
I'd have said Watford. Just.
-
WTF was that! Were no players even near him. Most surreal moment of the season so far.
Right there with you, Danny.

Get Guthrie on for Butt, there's still time to win this.
Didnt even make the bench, no midfielders there atall
Nicky Butt's magnificence is all we need.
-
cannot believe he's still running with one striker and brings on harewood in midfield??
He's gone mental, alright.
-
Our s*** midfield is being overrun and we're not reacting.
Look, it's fine. Nicky Butt is experienced, magnificent, and 24 years old. He'll dribble through their team using all his experience, and slam a shot into the roof of the net with his magnificent young leg.
-
We best win tomorrow like, because we wont be picking up any points on Saturday.
It's gotten to the point I truly believe I'm a curse. People encourage me not to go to away games.
Manchester United 6-0
Liverpool 3-0
Liverpool 2-0
Middlesbrough 1-0
Wigan 1-0
Blackburn 3-0
Bolton 1-0
West Brom 1-1 (hurrah)
Notts Forest 1-0
Peterborough 2-0
When it was against Premiership sides it wasn't so bad, but it's becoming truly creepy that it's continued into the Championship.
I'm going to Sheff Wed aswell btw Afro
I'm sure many on here have got similar away records like, if anybody wants to make me feel less responsible for us being s*** go ahead.
See this is the problem ^
Get that guy to stay at home, ffs.
-
IMO...
Butt -> Lovenkrands
Carroll -> Ameobi
-
We sound por in this 2nd half.
#
they will attack for 10 mins, not score - lose heart.
0-3 ft.
Great work, Nostradamus.
